I actually played in all vehicles to a high level in BF3 and BF4 as well as high level infantry. I stopped playing in vehicles in BF1 and BFV because they no longer require skill and are uninteresting to me. I recently decided to play in a tiger tank and went 77-0 in about 15 minutes, but feel free to underestimate me and chock up my clips as "bad" and "stale" when you know damn well you couldn't replicate them in terms of consistency, speed, accuracy, or any other metric. Thanks for your input though.

Personally I liken milsim and German units in particular to re-enactors. They wear the uniform, they play the part, but at the end of the day they don’t usually believe the ideology nor are they there to represent it in truth. At the same time though...I feel like there’s a point where you have to be conscious of what you’re representing, whether you believe the ideology or not (hopefully not lol)

Biggest reason firestorm died is because EA did nothing about the hackers. theres literally hackers that have been in firestorm and continue to just come back to firestorm with literally the same names lol. And you can even say the same about multiplayer but you have community games to make up for hackers.

But its not Battlefield. Battlefield is the large-scale, combined arms, teamplay-oriented game seen in the first iterations of Conquest (and later on Operations/Breakthrough in BFV) seen way back in BF1942, a formula which many other games have tried and failed to copy to the same level of efficacy Battlefield. Its very distinctly unique to the franchise, and is Battlefield in its truest form. Battle Royale is not Battlefield. It lacks the same level of teamplay, it fails to capture the concept of combined arms effectively, and is often TOO large for its own good. Ultimately though, its not unique to the franchise, honestly has been done better in other games, and isn't true Battlefield.
