i feel bfv is closer to bf3; so i notice those who liked 3, prefer v. but those that preferred stuff like 4 tend to gravitate more to 1. prolly due different map designs and gameplay philosophies. bf1/4 are more towards the smaller modes like rush/operations and what not. the maps are more linear and more chokepointy. but bf3/v the maps are much more open and have ton of flanking opportunties, they're made more for people that prefer conquest large and what not.

Preferred my small squad/team based modes, the occasional operations/conquest is alright but it gets samey

Conquest never really feels like you're responsible for the tide changing whereas Operations and especially Frontlines/Rush does

yeah i get what you mean. i'm more of a conquest main, i just love the freedom of doing what ou want in a match there, but there is definitely a bigger sense of hopelessness if your team isn't doing so well compared to breakthrough or rush where you can hold out an objective zone with your squad.

It might be because i came from console, and skill is on average higher on PC, but conquest on BF games pre BF1 was way more free and safe, you could mess about and not get sniped instantly from the other side of the map
