bfv is more populated of the two. bf1 is more populated in smaller modes like tdm and linear stuff like operations. conquest servers die usually the more you near midnight. bfv fares well in all its modes except stuff like firestorm or grand ops.

the only issue bf4 has is if you use the client version instead of battlelog, server owners tend to spoof the player count. so servers look liek there are 58 people out of 64 in it, but only tuns out its the admin and a few friends of him.

yeah battlelog is better. use the third party plugin to get rid of those spoof stuff if you want to. but i believe just checking game info in battlelog also shows the right numbers.

campaign for sure. war stories are too short ot really build a connection with the characters or the stories unless they're written well. they can feel a bit tutorialy too as they tend to tackle different aspects of battlefield. it feels more organic in a campaign when you switch from infantry to a tanker than just selecting a warstory about tankers.
