honestly i'm glad bf keeps doing new stuff. whether it's gunplay or guns. maps and so on. even maps that come back usually are reworked and keeping them fresh. compare that to cod where you basically just pay 60 bucks to get the same ass maps with another layer of coat, it'd say battlefield keeps it fresh much more. sure, not everything will pan out that well to your own personal preference (aa in bfv is fucked, but guided missile bullshit in 3 and 4 isn't that much better either and so on), but atleast it's a different experience everytime. and you can always go back to the bf you prefer if you truly don't like it and wait for the next one.

i used to run a server in bfv that ran all the maps available in conquest/breakthrough in chronological order. bt or conq was based on the actual battle. so arras was conquest as it was the allied forces trying to stall the german spearhead from reaching dunkirk. whereas aerodrome was breakthrough as it represented the raids on air fields in africa by the british forces. it was fun and was quite full for a while. if only i could've just hosted it 24/7, so i didn't have to boot it up everyday and idle 😫

im also PC user, been on all evening, and had no issues until an hr ago for BF4, 5 and Hardline

twitter is also lit about servers being down, hea over to the general community for BF4 and there are reports worldwide of outage just nothing confirmed va EA or dice

but honestly, you don't have to worry about playercount much in bf unless you're from less populated regions. bf4, bf1 and bfv are most likely the most active and each are different enough from eachother to try out. bf4 for modern warfare, bf1 for ww1 or bfv for ww2 stuff
