I would get about 50 fps with a lot of frame dops on max graphics and lowering settings didnt really do anything. Are there any settings is should turn down/off to increase performance? Same way BF1 differentiated them with the sweet spot damage model, in addition to giving some of them access to trench magazines, or enhanced hipfire, or rifle grenades. They could even give the rifle grenades different properties for those that have them.

For example, the Enfield could have been given enhanced hipfire to pair with the bolt cycling spec

i've played no spread games. battalion 1944 was like that in its beta. definitely meant the hardcore had the opperhand. but once they introduced more random recoil, it became more neutral to who wins in fights and felt pretty satisfying knowing your gun does what you expect it to do

The funny thing is that BFV still has recoil and spread, it just masked with a conversion and it gets praised for the illusion of “no RBD”

in bf1 bullet spread doesn't give a fuck, you're steady, holding your gun on a mount or proned with no way your gun can shake. it will still spout your bullet towards the other end of the world instead of your target. in bfv, it will slightly deviate based on whether you are moving and sustained firing.

In game mechanics terms, you have horizontal recoil values and vertical recoil values that form an x-y axis.

The game rolls a set of coordinates somewhere within this range for spread, then jumps your sights to those coordinates to mask the spread.

Incidentally, the same rolling system is why barrel bedding is basically pointless for SARS, as they only have a vertical axis for recoil and you get greater benefit from vertical recoil reduction.

Bf5 recoil is good, borderline too much sometimes

but overall pretty good

too much horizontal recoil is bad
