I can't seem to figure out how to enable voice chat while I have mute pressed on the PS5 controller. I have headphones (without mic) connected to the PS5 controller. I'd like to be on mute (not use the controller's mic) and still be able to hear my squad, however when I press mute on the PS5 controller, it not only mutes me (as intended), but it also mutes everyone in my squad.
- I have game sound + chat audio enabled while I have headphones connected
- I have tried multiple PS5 controllers all exhibiting the same behaviour
- I have tried reseting my PS5 to factor default
- I have tried rebuilding the PS5 database
- Under BFV audio settings, VOIP is enabled
- If I'm in a party, the mic works as intended. I press mute, and I can hear everyone in the party. But when I'm not in a party and just part of a standard 4 man/woman squad, pressing mute on the controller, disables voice chat.
If someone has run into this issue and figured out how to fix it, I would love to hear from you. I can't figure out why the PS5 would block everyones's voice when I press mute. It should just mute me. I never ran into this issue on the PS4.

Depends on your playstyle. If you want to be more agressive, pick the factory. If you want a more LMG-like weapon, pick the defensive.
