Yep. The audio engine In battlefield games Is damn good. It bounces Sounds realistic from many different surfaces. Kinda like cod mw but much better.

BAR is good... other than that, I guess Automatico (it's not the best by any means, but it does the job at range it's designed for), maybe also Mondragon, 1907 Trench or Autoloading Extended for Medic (depends on range you want)

I also can't recommend Madsen enough, and I know enough people who strongly recommend the Huot LW. It is not a DPS monster, but it's an absolute laser beam of a gun with one of better sights in the game

You won't really get a "best" gun, purely because BF1 guns generally have strongly determined niches

If you get something top-tier in CQC, expect to suffer past 20-30m

Personally, I did prefer good mid-range weapons - they gave me good effective range, still more or less worked in CQC and if I wanted good TTK up close, I always had revolvers (which mostly have TTK in similar area to SMGs, although reload speed hurts)

You got a clunky LMG, for example, you take Bulldog revolver
