ok so, what made people hate bfv? for starters, its liveservice was terrible. from now until they completed the live service, there was a ton of shit going on. the first few chapters were buggy or lacklustre. patches often broke more than they solved. and sometimes it took a while for stuff like invisible soldiers to get fixed. the chapters (aka battlepass) often gave its more meaningful gameplay content like new weaponry at the end of the chapter weeks. it just wasn't the greatest experience, but it's not fair to say it was lacklustre overall. the chapters eventually became much better and got a ton of goodies in them. and best part is that pretty much everything from cosmetics and weaponry can be unlocked now. part two:

people have a very distinct image of ww2 thanks to hollywood movies like private saving ryan, enemy at the gates and what not. these are all fairly late war stuff. liberation of europe era. yet battlefield handled the war from the start, where people don't really know what to expect from. so most people were just clamoring for m1 garands and americans, when they weren't even part of the war yet. a lot of people seem to be disappointed that bfv never really took on d-day or eastern front etc. even though we've gotten far more theatres than most current ww2 games on the market 😦
