I find the HDR tab a bit weird. No matter where I put the slider I can't see two boxes-

I think I found the problem.

It was with HDR, I needed to set it to ~80, the default was 1000 and I just never went that far down on the slider.

focus on the object you're aiming at not your crosshair, decrease your sens for easier control but slower aim time (unless you move your arm fast and have enough mousepad space), increase your sens for harder control but easier flicks and snaps once you get used to it

and always aim for head level

never look at the ground
