Tickets still count. If one from a team rushes the centre, its very likely that one of the other teams do that too. Besides, i think that the capture points act similar to breakthrough. The capture points are locked until you capture the previous one

Heroes and Generals does something like that, where a map is open for 24hrs. They have "WW2 mode" which basically gives you a european map up, and you can see which points are currently fighting. You can jump in whenever you want, these are the "Heroes" whereas the "Generals" are able to supply a battlefield with reinforcements ranging from Tanks, more soldier tickets, bombing etc.

Compare thieves guild progression of oblivion with skyrim, or better yet the mage guild from morrowind with skyrim. It gets so streamlined and linear. Even customizatiom in fo4 is just one suit instead of individual parts :(

Design and writing for Skyrim was low quality, and i dont believe that is an engines issue, as much as its dated now, and rather tedious to use...it has pretty dank features. Like in Skyrims creation engine, did you know they've had enviromental damage implemented but scaped that due to Console limitations ?

yeah 1 is more war torney, but that's mostly cause bfv maps tend to be situation more early war. and focuses more on adding the wartorneness from player interactions adn their destruction etc

Trench warfare wasnt viable, as an example, the "Phony war", British and French forces built their defensive/fighting positions in trenches, for the coming german forces. They were overrun and flanked VERY quickly, and in the end abandoned and allied nor axis forces used these sort of trenches afterwards. Literally Blitzkreig eliminated Trench Warfare in WW2. So should there be Trench Warfare in BFV? no, the ability to dig trenches in certain areas, and a couple of smaller trenches are accurate.

well most of the no man's land was surrounding the maginotline that pretty much got germany stuck at the french border. germany baited the france in thinking this struggle would happen again, but then jebaited them by using a major force towards it, but the real force broke through the ardennes with tanks, which the french didn't think they would be able to do etc and severed off the defending force from the main by cutting a line straight towards coasts and dunkirk etc.

so now you have a bunch of skins that are rather timid and thats how you offset live service

A truly realistic battlefield game would just be a bunch of middle aged men standing around a war map, pointing at a spot, and then just seeing a slow trudge of troops and armored vehicles, and combat only lasts for about an hour or two at a time before it dies down
