Online is barely played in BF:Hardline on PS4. There are usually only 1-2 servers up. It still got a story mode though and has the most different setting with it being cops vs robbers.

This isn't an indie mp game where like 20 players are playing and an admin can go check if someone is saying the truth. (you can get that experience in community servers). If you report someone on the official servers you need a ton of evidence, which is mostly multiple witness accounts, cause else dice might risk banning someone who was legit.

Basically it shows you the part of the match around the time when the report happened AFAIK.
CS:GO also has built-in replay controls though.

To be honest bf3 its old enough now to run without support I've had a server up and running with 20 on everynight and apart from a few usual glitches that we are all used to I've not had a problem for a couple of years.
My only concern is with the honest players that have accounts that pb randomly bans, and when that happens its game over as you won't get it back and have to buy a new account.

What about having "respected players" in BF6? like at the end of the game, you rate your squadmates on their performance, something that Overwatch had. And at a certain point of good merits you get, you are granted the title of "respected player". Also if there is a better report system, you get some progress towards the title by reporting actually cheaters that get reviewed and approved as an actual cheater. On the surface it would be just a title, but behind the curtains, your reports will be first to review as you are a "respected player"
That is all alongside a good anti-cheat system mind you
This shouldnt be the only anti-cheat system as it can get abused, but make the goals of being a "respected player" rather large

At the end of the day server reputation is the way to go, with reputation it will run itself.
Example we have a no jet server and server gets full often but we don't have a problem with people jumping in jets.
Why , well because we have 60 plus admin and strict rules. Ie admins cannot ban on their own it has to be reported and discussed on our discord.
Also regular good players join every night so we know each other and respect each other in game.
Any new joining gets checked out so this is why we are so successful

It also changes the mentality of players in the servers, just seeing that one or two players are respected players changes the mindset of others. A sort of role model tbh
