bf4 pc still has a good amount of full servers (on the right days)

console has a decent amount too

but if you play on pc, watch out for fake player counts. Most servers will show 64 players but there's only a few players in the server

one good group of servers I recommend are the SiC servers

they usualy have good player counts and most have varied maps from multiple dlcs and different servers have different map rotations, etc. (compared to console where you'll be lucky to find a populated server that hosts half of the dlc maps)

They are usually active 24/7 but it might be the case that you can only see servers in your specific region for one specific mode so check that out

Depending On what you value more in a battlefield game it might be a streight upgrade or the other way around

I personaly like V better then 1 because of the ability to Build stuff , no sweetspot mechanic for sniper rifles , better movement And better ground vehicles

BF4 is cool too But if BF3 did not force you to use battlelog i would have recomended it insted because the games are So similar, BF3 has the better maps But 4 had allot of quality of life improvements

I played BF4 for the first time in years and it felt pretty good. Better than BF1 and V do currently IMO (after playing so much BF6). But the hangup for me now is the visuals. Everything is so blurry and bloomy. I played about 45 minutes and switched right to BF6 and it was like having cataracts removed. (PS5)

I use dx11 and future frame rendering and ultra just to get closer to my monitors refresh rate of 180

well DX 12 should only stutter if you use it first time on each map or if you've installed the GPU drivers recently, since shaders need to be cached

once you've ''seen'' all the shaders it should be done, make sure DXR (raytracing) is not on since that basically cuts your FPS in half and creates stutters

BF V was the first game to feature raytracing, was basically used for advertising the 2000 series from nvidia

when I got my 2080ti shortly after BF V's release I did try DXR and from 150-160 FPS at 1440P I dropped to 70-80 with DXR on and the difference was almost non existent in terms of image quality

since 1.5 months ago 99% of the BF v servers stutter when joining and then it happens here and there, even console players have this issue, so I'm strongly assuming it's their servers

Hello guys, I recently bought BF4 and it doesn't want to launch. The EA app says it's launching then it closes the EA app entirely, then it just runs as a "background program" and never really boots up as a game...

I've tried everything for the past hour and a half now, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I reinstalled the game, relogged, restarted my laptop a bunch of times, installed all VC++ versions it be x64 or x86 or whatever, verified files, ran the launcher as admin, ran the game as admin, changed compatibility, installed the Punk anticheat and still didn't work, turned off all apps from system info and let only the EA stuff to run but it still didn't do anything....

Is there any fix? I bought it on EA directly

I FOUND OUT WHAT MY ISSUE WAS

So apparently I had frosty fix on for one of the EA games I own which is Star Wars Battlefront II. When having frosty fix enabled it seems to conflict to other games. So if anyone has this issue please do disable Frosty Fix as this may be the reason why the game won't launch!

I don’t remember how I disabled frosty fix but I guess it’s as simple as opening the program and it gives you an option to disable it. Though if you still have issues tryna run the game even though you have no modding program like frosty fix, it may have to be related to not having a redistributable thing installed on your pc.

Frosty fix isn’t really needed today since the mod manager it’s a lot better now in the latest versions
