Why are there no BFV tactical conquest servers anymore in NA? Anyone from EA know?

The problem with North American Tactical Conquest servers has been going on for the last couple of weeks. Started about the same time as the BFLabs Playtest.

When I try to start a NA Tactical Conquest server, instead of spinning one up, I will get placed into a random game mode in a random region.

I thought the movement in the Labs testing felt great.

Might be a TINY bit sluggish, but I prefer this over the schizo tap dance ballerina movement people do on COD and other games alike.

Why does everyone suddenly wish Battlefield to be a movement shooter? It's never been very "fast paced" at its core. (at least it hasn't been to me, I may be wrong to others)
Sure, some people will find ways around it and that's never gonna change and it frankly shouldn't bother anyone.

I feel the issue comes when the whole game is built with the idea that that's what people want, because then what happens to the game? does it even feel like a "battlefield" title anymore?

Everyone, in the end, just wants a game they enjoy. We should each voice our own opinions, and the devs will decide on their vision and stick to it, heeding the words of the audience they target or want to target

Bf4 was aggressive with its movement and class setup, bf1 was slow and restrictive, v had differing vehicle / infantry balance with more squad focused systems, 2042 has more player agency. Each designed with a different core structure to appease those audiences

But since they took that approach, you now naturally have 10 different communities all fighting to get the game they want

It’s just unfortunate that the majority feel they need to downplay others rather than giving stronger reasons for their approach with critical thinking applied in genuine discussion

Since score and points is a good way to teach people about these support actions, what about a ‘resupply assist’ score criteria - if you resupply someone who gets a kill from a gadget you resupplied you get 25 or something

Since you have the support score already but maybe that little point boost could help show new people they are helping

I mean in BFV if at the start of the game you do all the right things (spawn on squad mate / get squad mate to spawn on you, run to first objective carrying ammo crate ‘bumping’ into everyone, drop ammo crate in choke point on way to objective, mark the flag, build stuff whilst capping) you will be a clear leader on the scoreboard before a shot has been fired

There were a lot of bugs in the open Beta for 2042 that were so bad my entire friend group who has played BF games since the start didn’t buy it (besides for me).

Then after that it really just felt (imo) like it wasn’t designed for the game modes properly, and weirdly empty a lot of the time, on top of the bugs.

Bugs are one thing because Battlefield games are gigantic bricks of code, so I’m totally expecting that. But the core foundation and mechanics are what will make or break the game

This is why, despite being basically unplayable at launch, BF4 still ended up being arguably the best Battlefield game. This is also why 2042 had the same launch predicament but is still easily the worst battlefield game
