Anything else should be irrelevant
You snipe, you heal, you support, you assault, and you do the job, you use the kit you have to DO that job.

Now we're deciding what we want to use.. to do.. whatever we want regardless of the circumstance

yeah the perks are kinda half assed, I think certain attachments should be locked if you're using non signature weapons for your class

Soldiers are whatever their role is, and issued kit to perform that role.
But now soldiers are whatever their kit is, to perform whatever role they like.

This really suits PMC vs PMC combat, but not any standing military organisation, so I dont understand the direction here. Heck even 2042 bothered to make the justification we were playing mercs.

Personally for me, gadgets alone do not make a class for me. If you put LMG on recon I won't see you as recon and if you put sniper rifle on assault. I'll see you as sniper and not assault.
