I'm worried from the public material that DICE is going to repeat mistakes made with 2042.

1. No evidence of a server browser
2. No class locked weapons
3. Unrestricted pc-console crossplay

Aim assist needs to be stronger than 2042 if they keep unrestricted crossplay.

The main issue is engagement distance. Sure in CQC the difference between m&kb and controller isn't that big and thus you don't need stronger aim assist. But when you get into Battlefield's engagement distances the difference in accuracy becomes extremely noticeable

It's like if we are real life computer programmers and then they start allowing housekeeping to learn coding and then letting them jump in to designing the game. There is real laws in place to protect certain professions from other people cross training and then doing that specialized job.

I 100% agree. I personally feel like allowing all weapons for every class takes away from what makes Battlefield... Battlefield. Class-locked weapons have always encouraged teamwork, unique roles, and that classic large-scale coordination the series is known for. OK so I have played about 4-5ish hours of battlefield labs today, BF6 is looking REALLY solid. But it has one major issue.... all weapons are multi-class. we really need the old formula back.

DMRs and Carbines or pdws are great multi-class weapons, the rest don't need that.

Based on gta coming out less than midhalf into 2026, I guanrtee you battlefield doing all thes test for people mean no way they will hold the game after gta 6 for months and release the game in end of 2026. Not logical. It likely release at the normal rate, with beta in end of july or early august and the final game will be out like all past battlefield titles by end of the year, mid this november.

I think unlocked weapons is perfectly fine. There is a reason we give certain roles certain weapons and its simply because they are more effective in those cases. If the classes are well balanced and well designed then their role on the field will naturally gravitate to weapons from their role

Giving players the option to choose weapons just lets them have fun their way. The gadgets and utility make the role not the gun

Guns like anti material rifles have no purpose if the only person using em is scout but give them to an engineer and you see a lot more potential

that doesn't refute my point. There is very little difference between the actual ttks of weapons that are good at the same ranges. Most weapon types have individual guns that excel at a wide variety of ranges. Either you need to lock classes to specific ranges, or you have justified unlocked weapons.

Honestly I'd be fine with some locked guns provided ARs/Carbines are unlocked as a concession. That's what people don't understand, is that those are by far the most popular for cultural reasons. Not for stats or anything like that

I mainly support and hope DICE locks some attachments though. Nobody besides Recon should have long range scopes and extended mags could use some class restrictions too.

What’s your opinion on giving every class an m4 to work with and having everything else locked? They’d have to make sure the m4 is properly balanced, but I think that’d fix a lot of the issue
