Tbf people use the same systems in bf4. Bhopping still exists, air strafe exists, 2042’s movement is more one directional but is just pushed slightly further in that direction. In that regard they aren’t too different

Yeah thats why I want to have Battlefield, after they have established a good multiplayer experience to incorporate a decent singleplayer instant action mode like the old star wars battlefront games from 2004-2005. So you can play against the AI or co op against the AI. Conquest, breakthrough maybe more modes. I know BF2042 had this but then even better. So people who dont wanna sweat can enjoy battlefield as well. But yeah for most people its always been about the multiplayer so i dont mind them to focus on MP first to give everyone the best experience and then later on a really good singleplayer mode. That would be the game of my dreams.

Definitely! I still play the OG battlefront games with mods so you have more than 100 bots running around on the battlefield etc. Its so much fun. I always wanted Battlefield to have this as well. But then also 64 players cause 128 is a bit too much. Or maybe with bots its possible idk. Cause 128 with real players is really too much for me personally.

I understand that Battlefield is currently all about the multiplayer. So I want them to focus on that first so that the multiplayer is very strong. And maybe after that they could do this. Depends on what you personally classify as "milsim" features.

Simulation to Arcade is a spectrum lol.

@limber bough Arma, for instance, has systems for fuel, supplies, repairs to particular functions. In general it's more punishing and restricted; you can't fix a vehicle without the supplies to do so. When you reload you lose the whole mag. You have to use a compass and map to navigate and figure out where you are. You can build up bases with supplies.
But besides that kind of granularity, it's not
...hugely different from Battlefield. And BF has always toyed with some of those aspects (unlike COD, it has medicine and repair systems, V has light basebuilding).

If you take battlefield for instance I’d say the true great ones are BF 2, BFBC2, BF3, BF1, and BF4. All the rest are good just because I like the mechanics and the gameplay loop.

See 2042 to me is a game where I just turn my mind off and understand exactly how it works. There’s no real challenge, it’s not the battlefield I rush to play I still play BF4 and Hardline. But when I boot up 2042 it’s kind of just a fun stomping experience
