In case anyone is curious, firefox made no difference and support so far has ignored the issue at hand and directed me to 3 totally irrelevant support links, one of which included booting EAS FC to delete it's corrupted saves. I have NO IDEA how that would relate to BF3 not launching or how I would boot a game I have never touched. Now they are telling me to delete some license file from the EA app and I am very concerned about doing such an act based on "Kindly give it a try and let me know what happens." when they've so far provided 3 BAD links. Anyone got a real fix? I found something in support forums but the link is dead.

Weird, I can play a game of BF4 on PC while using Server Browser - I can hit bZ Server #5 which is their HC TDM server

You may need to check your punkbuster installation, it was found a couple months ago that Punkbuster isn't providing the full installation with the BF4 install, let me get a link for you to try

Alright, so I tested the connection issues within BF4 - used bZ#1 and bZ#5 for testing, it appears that when it gets 4 players and the game goes to the EA side for hosting, it fails to connect. Personally, I think something changed in the Server Side, the client never got an update and even after we reinstalled out PB A&B we still got the same issue.

You can't stop a DDOS attack on public server like that, also, is it even EA-owned servers that are hit?

Only way to stop the attack is to change the info, or take the server down, which would result in you not being able to play anyway

BF4 is mostly community servers at this point, so it's not like EA could do anything even if they wanted

dead game does not equal to bad game. youre blurring the line. Titanfall 2 has had a resurgence but not enough to not have it contend to a dead game objectivaly. BF4-BFV are in that same boat. How many times on BF 4 have you got into a completely dead server that claimed 64 players on. often. Titanfall 2 is your example. I play titanfall 2 often, IDK how many times i get into the same lobbies with the same people. often, What makes or breaks a title is the server base. They are dead. I like to put battlefield on a pedistal like the next game but that doesnt mean the player base, espically for the older titles isnt dead or is dying. A broken game a launch can lead into a dead game, take cp2077, skyrim, list goes on. Objectivly for many players those games were unplayable at launch. But they didnt Die. They have more players playing them now more than ever ya kno. Its the state of the playerbase, always has, always will be. @shy yacht

Try using warhawk compensator imo, it's an AR but designed for close range, better to eliminate that recoil at the expense of spread imo, pair it with LWG grip in order to regain some of that accuracy

I had literal arguments with 2 different support people about this last night. Apparently the fix is to delete certain files in:

C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License.

They told be two different stories. One person said to delete 71067.dlf, the other person said everything in the folder. I couldn't get them to give me a source and every other source they gave was BAD so I gave up on them and kept googling but eventually found others saying to do it too. It did work in my case but I wouldn't recommend digging for things to delete unless you know exactly what you're doing. Also the folder is hidden so you'll have to enable hidden files and folders in folder settings.

oh yes it is you have to download it from punkbusters official website these days

that's what I was told and then once you run the program you download from them, you can tell it to install into BF3's main folder (not the prog data one, the one where BF3.exe is)

the only issue I ran into after pb and the activation was just battle log not recognizing the game being closed, which I don't beleve it ever did that correctly even back in the day. I sometimes have to close out ea app and wait a minute before it lets me join a game again.
