I was thinking what if there was maps that had a threshold that connected to other maps. There should be a way to design maps this way, even with a biome change. This would result in a collection of maps that are modular and offer connection points for a linear game mode like rush.

Currently I only have BF5, which only has two planes in the practice range. I’ve gotten quite comfortable with them. I keep running into two main issues in actual games though. Getting people off my 6 and actually hitting stuff with my bombs. I’m really good at getting people off my tail when I’m flying a plane with a back gunner like a Stuka, but any plane without a back gunner I’m just cooked. Can’t seem to shake them no matter how hard I try. With the bombs I have no problem actually hitting a target. What I’m struggling with is knowing where the target is. My teammates seem to not mark literally anything. So most maps I’m just flying over some forest going, “where the heck are all these enemies taking C???” I’ll drop bombs but get no hits.

Personally I found it harder to use air vehicles with mnk but then again I've been been good at using air vehicles.

Since air vehicles rely on splash damage I imagine the accuracy of a mouse isn't a huge deal.

For me personally yes 2042 released in such a bad state, but compared to how it is now shows you the team were willing to rework maps add vehicles etc. I'm not giving no-one a pass here but 2042 did release when everything was under restriction and people working from home. Wwe 2k20 released in the same year and that was soo bad that 2K didn't make a 2K21 and went straight to 2K22 so maybe lockdown etc had a bad impact on games being in a great state upon release I think with the new title DICE and other studios have the time now to produce a better product

For myself I think DICE and EA know they have to produce something incredible and I think they are taking the best mechanics from each title and stuff that made the older titles great and integrating them into the new game. The movement in the new trailer looked like the movement in BFV and that movement had crouch running also as did the trailer. I think them show casing that we are gonna have proper military combatants from NATO armies shows you they are going back to boots to ground. Yeah I stopped playing the games after BF3. because I saw them for what they were. a childish dumbed down vision of infantry combat, that keeps getting rehashed with minimum effort with a few gimmicky feature thrown in. after years I played BF4 for 20 hours to actually give it a fair try, Ive also done the free weekends of BF1, 5 and 2042. its a far cry from BF2 or even BFBC2

I dont see what people enjoy with the small tiny horribly designed fish bowl maps that have few of the same assets and dozen trees scattered haphazardly around. From what I've gathered, Vince (group general manager for the new game) is taking it back to a modern setting. They want to go back to the core of battlefield, which in his eyes in 3/4. If you account for the glacier leaks, they have talked about a map similar to the end scene of tenent, and a Hollywood hills map. Destruction is apparently pretty good. There is going to be realistic-ish skins similar to those in BC2, bf3, bf4. And the gadgets are are more inspired by older games, for example the tracking dart.

If support has both ammo and meds like in 2042, in my opinion, the classes get unbalanced and teamplay dies out.

2042 is set up like this

Recon: Spawn points, spotting armor, etc

Support: Meds and Ammo

Engineer: Anti-tank and repairs

Assault: self healing and extra ammo

Now, if meds was given to support and ammo to assault, it'd be fine, but I just don't know why they'd suddenly change support to be the medic class after being ammo in the last few games
