They replaced levolution with other "gimmicks". BF1 - Behemoths, BFV - V1 Rockets, 2042 - Tornadoes. They just keep trying to mix up the formula, and of course innovation is important, but they innovate at the expense of tried and true mechanics and features

100%. I feel like the only way to make BRs more appealing is by reducing the elements that slow things down. Retain MP loadouts, don't make maps so massive that rotations in the first phases take forever and reduce the opportunities for fighting in mid game, and give players utility options as loot resources instead to allow for better end games than a lot of zone RNG forcing some players to just deal with disadvantageous positioning.

That’s the very reason I feel warzone kicked off so well when it was introduced. By adding loadouts, bounty contracts and respawns it made it the most cod like battle royale it could have been. But even with those systems I just can’t enjoy it. The one life, loot focused approach just doesn’t do it for me. I feel no matter what, a br just won’t work for me :(

The finals is super good I really recommend it if you can get passed the small teams. The destruction is some of the best in the industry at the moment and the gunplay is really fun. It's also the best execution of the "FPS game but it's actually a sports game" mini-trend I've seen
