Played thousands of hours in 3 & 4 and about 500 in 1 but 5 really turned me off so I skipped that all together and then I bought 2042 which was ight. Vehicles still drive like shit to this day

Every survey asks for race and age, its to gather analytics for their marketing. You do that survey when you sign up for playtesting. Its not just for battlefield playtest its for everything EA playtest

so, the answer is a little unintuitive- basically if you have enough datapoints you can find patterns that might not be entirely obvious. If a bunch of people who selected "middle eastern" are reporting the same thing, you could find those complaints a little easier than if they were just all in the gigantic pile of "all feedback"

Data is weird and having unusual data points can help in unexpected ways. Race, obviously, isn't their primary metric they're looking at, but it can be helpful for smaller fringe cases. I'm not the best at explaining but basically it boils down to "More data makes aggregation easier in the long-term"
