which, to be fair, BF1 does look nice. most of the time.

you try looking out a window in a building on a sunny map and that kind of shatters the immersion a bit, and that's due to a bug they introduced with adding HDR support that they never fixed.

But, it does look nice most of the time. The issue I have is that very few people actually seem to care about how the game actually plays. Like, I feel that BF1 represents a downgrade in gameplay from BF4 and BF Hardline.

which is how every shooter that has their shit together operates, so why would you ever change that.

Yes. What I mean is in most games, when you shoot your gun, the bullets are coming from the center of your screen. This is how most shooters operate.

However, some other games change this principle, and make it so that when you shoot, the bullets come from the center of your gun's sight, rather than the center of your screen. Combined with spread to recoil conversion which effectively makes recoil random, this results in recoil that you cannot control because it's random.
