I'm not 'slave to fashion' as it were in the slightest when it comes to cosmetics, I just wanted accurate portrayals depending on the class. In Bad Company 2 you had the snipers in ghillie suits and every other class was dressed in a fixed outfit to fit their roles.

There are far better Battlefield games in it's 22 year history. While 2042 is far improved from what it was at launch, it's still far from perfect. Given the state it released in (after the lies told by one exec, claiming the game was 6 months ahead of schedule), there really was no other way to go but up.

With a space setting there is no limit to the kind of environments they can make. They could make maps that look like Havarl and Voeld from Mass Effect Andromeda, a game that was also made with Frostbite.

Pretty sure i have seen talks like this many years before, even 10 years ago. But like they are different games playing different ways. Video games portraying war don't really make them competitors either as they appeal to different people cause it's different games. I then could say arma and cod is competitors kind of 🤷

It'd be minimal yet strongly enforced to ensure stability within the server and if people would donate, I'd make it damned clear that they'll get no special treatment and said donations don't emancipate them from the rules

Funnily enough had an arsehuffer in my server a while back who said; 'I'm the only one boosting this server, let me get away with breaking the rules or I'll stop boosting' and I simply replied; 'oh, okay then' and banned the fucker. He really thought buying discord nitro would somehow give him free leeway over the server. Some people didn't get toilet diving lessons as kids when they really needed a reality check.

BFV's revisionism nearly killed the franchise and they've not recovered yet from it. To DICE's credit, the marketing campaign with BFV and 2042 was great.
