basically old school mechanics that a vast majority of games dont do anymore for a reason

I do PREFER the older spread based mechanics because it makes longer range engagements based on who can burst better. I feel like it requires more skill because you also have recoil to deal with.

But the actual function of guns in 2042 just feels better. Like i'd rather be hitting my targets where I am than "Oops a bullet went 5 feet in the air and you lost sorry :)"

But 4's spread feels like too much for some guns.

But its bloom/spread is not as harsh as 4's

But its also got more to it. Jumping fucks you over if you try ADSing. If you sprint to ADS you get fucked over because the CoF didnt reset.

its more of a team recognition thing. If your playing as the AHE vs Russia then suddenly a guy starts speaking Ukrainian and that voiceline is only for the pilot then yeah a player can mistake that for a nearby enemy.
It would also just be hella expensive which is probably why, afaik, no classes have unique voices

i think a lot of people who dont really feel 2042 go oh what was the last one oh bfv. it is stable and has more compelling gameplay than 2042. it is a more casual choice than those who choose bf1 as the bf to settle their hunger.

yea i have issues in OCE on bf1 where the servers owners only run conquest. however when you ask players in the region many want frontlines more often.

the clans running servers love conquest as they can more effectively stack to pub stomp

then you have the casuals who think only conquest is battlefield

They were already less popular modes. Servers dont run them, so nobody queues for them, so theres never enough people to fill a match, so servers dont run them.

Doesnt help that (and I may be wrong about this) servers can only run one gamemode. You cant shuffle war pigeons into a 24 player server, you have to run only war pigeons on it.
