2042 gets boring pretty fast

its a fun shooter for few hours but then it kinda gets dull

bf5 is riddled with cheaters (on pc) almost impossible to find a decent game to play

4 is fun but hard to get into since its only mostly veteran players playing modified servers nowadays

we had that 20 years ago in 1942. I don't think the devs want players to have that much control or autonomy anymore. Back in 1942 people would beach the carrier on the main island and since it was a mobile spawn point it would create problems. Other times people would purposely drive them out of bounds so everyone would spawn and die. Back then we'd just kick those people from the server and self-regulate as a community. That ability doesn't really exist anymore, and I doubt EA would be willing to take any risk like that since nowadays 100% of the gaming experience is curated and controllable.

1 - in 2042, when you just lose an x1 and fall, the game "freezes" your camera for a few seconds and you can't move it in order to mark nearby enemies and why the hell does this freezing happen that only delays our lives?

2 - I was playing just now and I equipped my rifle with armor-piercing ammunition but I aimed exactly towards the enemy tank which was very far away and I saw that it did no damage so I felt like a clown due to the fact that in other moments I shot at vehicles, I remember what caused damage

If you mean in BF1 with the AP rifle rounds, they only work at a certain distance

No, not really. The QTE button for the counter knife is the same as your melee and the window of opportunity to counter is so large that anyone can do it, you dont need that good of reaction time to counter.

I say this because you may think 258 players servers is better than 64, but in reality all it does is:

• Condense player numbers into small maps not built for 258 players (which battlebit has a lot of)
• Makes teamplay and communication damn near impossible, the game really just feels like an ant war with no real direction
• Gives no room for other servers, one 258 player server is the equivalent of four 64 player servers, you're going to end up with less servers which means less variety in the case you want to play a specific map or gamemode.
• It's not good for longevity either as again, you're going to have a hard time trying to fill up a 258 server, unless you fill it with bots, which is what 2042 does.

The launcher is complete dogshit. Even after trying to launch from the EA app, I still got the same error from launching through Steam and Battlelog directly. EA wanted me to either A) insert a game key or B) log in with the account I own BF3 from. Apparently my EA account doesn't exist anymore because I got an "invalid email or password" pop up when I put in the correct log in info.

Hey guys. So I’ve been playing bf V on console now for a long while and now I got the pc version as well. Unfortunately, none of the progress is shown here and it has come to my understanding that there is no way to sinc my progress. However, something interesting appeared. After unlocking level 1 on my Sturmgewehr 1-5, all 4 specializations that I’ve unlocked on console, are shown here as unlocked as well. But now I’m wondering whether the specializations are actually active and that they are taking effect, or if this is just a bug. Does anyone know? Thanks.

I’d say if you are looking for a battlefield to get back into with large stable player bases, BF1, BF5, and 2042 would be a good place to start, just really depends on the setting and gameplay you like more, every battlefield is also on sale for a couple dollars on Steam, and probably other stores as well, so now’s a pretty good time.

I'd say it's worth it to buy even now, the game has a lot of high skill ceiling so early on'll be a grind and a half but overall you'll find it to be an amazingly beautiful game.

Mechanics are a solid 8/10, campaign stories 9.5/10 and Multiplayer DLC are collectively 10/10
