BF4 is better than 42 not because it is bigger, but because it is better designed in almost all aspects. If you downscale BF4 to have the same number of maps, vehicles, factions, and so on as 42, you will still have a vastly superior game

I’m kinda mixed on bfv maps. Some like Marita are incredibly difficult to enjoy playing the game on because the way the game lighting and character models don’t really work together, it’s hard to see sniper scope glints on a lot of maps for an example

The game did not include weapons such as the PPsh-41, TT-33 (probably because they didn't include the USSR) but did include weapons from bf1 that didn't make much sense being in bf1 to begin with like the Ribeyrolles 1918, while also including weapons like the krag-jorgensen and the ruby which were obsolete by WW2
