The French did have their colonial troops fight in France. Primarily Algerians, Moroccans, and some Senegalese (a catch all term for the French, covering much of west africa).
For the British, Colonial troops would fight in Western Europe, but on and off. They were often transferred to and from the Middle Eastern Theater. The British Scout is most likely from the Caribbean, as the British West Indies regiment did fight in the western front and is the largest example of black soldiers in the british empire at the time.

No offense but there's a special place in hell for whoever programed the spawn mechanics in BF1. I spawned directly in front of enemy players no less than 37 times within the spawn of two matches and died instantly because of that.

I'm sorry but this isn't acceptable to have something so jank not only in BF1 but 4, Hardline, formerly Bad Company 2, and V as well....

If there's an enemy looking at or within the proximity of a spawn point then the game's engine should put you elsewhere.

The absolute LEAST that could be done here is randomize the spawnpoints within an objective's radius and put us behind cover.

Their hands were forced in turn as well.

No one wanted an overwatch or cod pandering 'hero shooter' with 'operators'. No one liked that top gun bargain bin knock-off tom cruse cringe fest from BFV for example, and yet they didn't double down but sextuple downed (that means six times) on the model that no one really likes outside of a marginal few newcomers that pale in contrast to the vast majority of the lost playerbase DICE forced away with shitty game design.

Like hell, I don't hate the current people because they're new, I just hate that they were given a halfsunk ship and told to just 'bilge it as you sail to sea, don't bother trying to get back to the harbour and hope for the best because if it's sunk when we check in again you're fired'.

Some advice, since bf1 guns are kind of unintuitive.
Lmgs get more accurate the longer you shoot, unlike any other weapons.
Bolt action rifles have a specified range where they one shot to the body. So the damage goes up before going down over range. This is good for running iron sights.

I think they mean the scale. In game entire islands are recreated to look the same as real life except much smaller I.e. you can run from one end to the other in minutes whilst in rl it would take an hour.

Good morning, I don't know what you think but dice/ea was right not to put people to "manage" the main mode of 2042 (other than the portal) and I say this because a few years ago I played BF 4 and saw complaints about people saying who were kicked off the server because the admin clearly abused his power

hey guys, so im not sure where to ask this, so i will just ask here. I bought battlefield 1 recently with my friends and it seems that most of the time i can't play operations. Sometimes it works sometimes im just stuck in an infinite loading screen, where the screen is black and there is a loading icon on the top right. I allowed bf through the firewall. I haven't seen any pattern when it will work. im running a gtx 980ti, 16 Gigs of ram and a ryzen 7 3700x. The game is on a SSD. Thanks alot in advance.
