If you bought battlefield V and wanna try firestorm go to advanced search after clicking multiplayer. And then type on right hand part of your screen what looks like a search bar and type firestorm to join the solo firestorm servers.

Rumour has it that they'll release squad mode for BFV Firestorm (battle royale) on the 5th anniversary of firestorm coming towards the end of this March so fingers crossed.

I'm talking about the basic Battlefield 3 game mode without Venice Unleashed. If you want to play Battlefield Bad Company 2, look in Google for Project Venice. It turned out that by uploading one dll file to the game folder from their site and creating a player account (you can use the one you already have in Bad Company 2 and copy the game stats from consoles or PC) we have access to the servers with players, you can still play even the Vietnam add-on.

not realy, the only problem is that unlike previous games, Most populated servers are DICE offical servers with no moderation or anti cheat

and the few community made servers that exist in V are FULL or Empty (no in between), so if it's Cheater o clock you have a free choice of waiting in Que of a community server or taking a brake

but in Refractor battlefields i think you could host it on your own machine

if im not mistaken

Refractor engine games are from 1942 to 2142

So when I was on Hardline, I would happily rent a server. Set it to standard settings and it would fill up with no effort/promotion required. Was a perfect place for clan recruitment

Some folk say online that Jack frags was to blame

He found himself in a rental server with standard settings but the owner switched modes between maps so he went off on one at DICE, as a result they stopped rental/community servers with standard settings being fed by quick play. Not sure how true this is but know I would much rather pay for servers which work.

can someone help me on a issues that happens universaly on all battlefield games for me. i'm getting "Unable to Connect to EA Servers" on all bf games i play from 4 to 2042 and i always get that after plying the game once. i tried everything from firewall drivers and even reset my windows multiple times i even changed my gpu in the meantime, and now im just running out of things to try and really at this point i think its EA fault. all of that started when 2042 was in alpha

the Issue here is that Battle log does not SEE that battlefield 3 is INSTALED on your computer

or it does not see punkbuster

you can try to uninstal the game and remove all the files of BF3 from your PC and instal it again

that's what my friend did

and it started working again

while in his case it stopped working after a few weeks of playing

so it could be a completely different issue and it might do nothing

Scouts generally focus on long range engagements. Open areas are your friend. The question is usually "how open". Your choice will mostly boil down to "rifleman or sniper".

Riflemen are gonna be running rifles with irons or short range scopes, you'll be advancing with the team and capping points but not as aggressively as the other classes. Spotting flares are your freind here, you'll usually be in good range to use a flare and they help massively since youre punished hard for missing. The second gadget is either going to be K bullets for light AT work or tripwires, choice will depend on the map. Your tactics will focus mostly on fighting enemies within your rifle's sweet spot range to get a OHK. Carbines/trench variants dont have a sweet spot and instead have a faster ROF and tighter hip fire. The general playstyle with these is still the same but theres a bit more freedom in what range you choose, at the cost of OHK bodyshots.

Snipers will be way further out, beyond the sweet spot range of most rifles. Youre going to be going for headshots instead. Flares are still a good pick, but the trench scope is also a very good utility. Second gadget is a choice for your sniper nest: sniper sheild, tripwires, or decoys. Though K bullets can still be nice, the tanks wont likely be in your face.

No problem. In truth, most BF1 classes are a bit one note in their role so subclasses are hard to define. The main exception is support which is extremely versatile.

Also worth mentioning: jeeps, motorcycles, and armored cars are not gained like this. To use those you just walk up and jump in them. Boats and behemoths can be spawned in by simply clicking them on the map, they have their own icons

Operations is an attack defense gamemode that is set over multiple maps. Attackers have 3 attempts to clear both maps. It also comes with unique cutscenes before each round that sets the tone and history of the event. Really cool mode

quick match is just normal modes like conquest

every week 2 operations are chosen to have extra rewards. those are the ones you should play due to low populations.
Currently it is the Gallipoli campaign and the Palestine campaign.

Eh sure.

[hasty marsh]

Assaults are your close range brawlers. Their weapons range from close quarters to extremely close quarters. Unlike the scout however, this isn't necessarily going to change your gadgets. All of assaults gadgets are some kind of explosive, so you can mix and match without leaning into anything one would call a subclass.

One that you're going to want to lock in most of the time is the dynamite pack. Dynamite is an effective anti tank weapon, but is also a versatile utility as its able to remove cover for your enemies, destroy emplacements, and, crucially, break open bunker doors. Other assault gadgets and one support gadget can do this, but the dynamite is the most convenient. However if you're in a situation where none of those utilities are useful such as, say, urban maps then you could switch it up with a 2nd AT weapon or AT mines.

Second slot would then be a choice between rockets and AT grenades, whichever one is better depends entirely on how confident you are that you can reach a tank. Rockets have better range but the bipod makes you vulnerable. Meanwhile AT grenades can arc over cover. Remember, all of your weapons are close range, many areas can leave you as a sitting duck. Bayonet charging can remedy this somewhat.

Medic has versatile primary weapons and the strongest supporting gadgets in the game. You can feel comfortable in most areas that aren't extremely close or extremely far. Gadget choices are pretty straight forward.

Healing item and syringe. Pretty much always this will be the best choice. The syringe is an extremely powerful supporting item that is taboo to not equip. Meanwhile healing items are both a strong support and help you in combat by speeding up your own healing. Rifle grenades are decent but require sacrificing a really good gadget and can be used with the support anyway. You can run a smoke launcher to help you reach targets perhaps, but I havent seen many run this.

I dont believe you can evenly split it up into 3 loadouts though. Your choice of healing item should depend on the flow of combat. The more you move, the less useful the medical crate will be. Meanwhile, your primary weapon is tied to expected range. Longer ranges benefit the more DMR like weapons while the closer ranges support automatic rifles. The two choices exist mostly independently of eachother.

Support has tons and tons of different uses, listing them here: suppression, anti aircraft, ammo, anti infantry grenades, artillery fire, repairing vehicles, repairing emplacements, and light anti tank. All of these are useful and none of them are so useful that they are mandatory. So they can be mixed and matched together. Splitting it up into 3 loadouts, or even a set of subclasses, is impossible. But there are some that you should be aware of:

Its commonly forgotten or ignored that support is the best anti aircraft class in the game. Bullets can hurt planes and most LMGs have AA sights you can equip for this specific purpose. Its recommended to use the large ammo capacity LMGs for this purpose, like the Bergmann or 08/18. These weapons are also better for suppression. The flipside is that the low ammo capacity LMGs are more mobile, letting you play offensively like a beefy assault class.

The repair tool is much more versatile than people give credit. It can repair emplacement like field guns or aa guns which are much more powerful in BF1 than other games. It can also repair the extremely large cannons like the coastal gun or siege howitzer. There's also a critical lack of supports running the gadget as most players feel that ammo is more important. However, with the exception of the limpet mine, all of support's explosive gadgets recharge on a timer. This means that they do not necessarily synergize with the ammo box, and are not a necessary pairing.

You can equip the tanker weapons, pistol carbines. Don't. I am fairly sure that these only exist so people can grind service stars for them without abandoning tanks.

I started noticing a bunch of 'players' in BF1 a few years ago that wouldn't respond to anything from me using my mic or the in-game speech options via the 'need ammo or medic' stuff. I looked at their profiles, all without any profile background, bio or anything other than a default profile picture. Everything was set to private, games, messages, everything. I thought that these were sleeper bots because there were literal thousands of them.

Yeah, there were bots everywhere, they walked around and just stood there and literally went full glue guzzling dipshit the entire match. I got so sick of it I went to message them to say that they need to PTFO but I couldn't. Then I looked in the lobbies, went profile to profile and damned near everyone of them were the same song and dance. No bio, no profile background, default pfp and all settings put to private.

While EA may be absolutely responsible for leading the development in a way they think increases profit, there’s plenty of bad decisions that fall solely on DICE and their execution/ideas

It's was a type of training of some sort to get them 'smart enough' to actually play objectives, revive and resupply.

There was an unusual number of 'new players' around the same timeframe.

I just feel like the majority of 2042s bad decisions stemmed from those monetization schemes, it almost seems like we wouldn't have gotten specialists if it wasn't for monetization, which is my main gripe with the game.

That and the fact that it is a rushed 15 month product. That is not enough time to make a good battlefield game.

Brief update on the issue with certain vehicles not spawning in, as well as Xbox Series X players encountering freezes on Haven: While we made some progress on fixes, we will not have a patch ready today.
