Squad-specific voice chat has been around for some time.

If not dating to BF2, the earliest known example of its use in a Frostbite engine game was Bad Company, Bad Company 2, and 1943. However, at least on the Bad Company 2 PC version, it was spotty and difficult to use. It being bound to Left Alt by default there and as late as 2042 did not help, as most users are inclined to use C, V, or even Caps Lock depending on prior game experience. Weird default keybinds intensify.

On consoles, one was more likely to find activity in using it. For PC players, BF4 and BF1 probably had the greatest concentration of voice chat users based on speculation.

We have now deployed a server-side change on #Battlefield2042 with some balance changes for this weapon

Please allow some time for the following changes to roll out across all available game servers today.

VHX-D3 Changes:

▫️ Dispersion will now increase faster as more consecutive shots are fired, while also decreasing faster once firing has ceased. Burst Fire is now more effective than Full Auto.

▫️ Hipfire starting accuracy reduced while standing

▫️ Horizontal recoil reduced by ~10% to promote long-range burst firing

Battlefield 1 kept its players because of its amazing atmosphere, just sucks that the game is still to this day so heavily monitized such as needing to spend $60 CAD for access to HALF THE GAME and players needing to spend tons of money to keep servers open in a game that only held on by its gameplay, by now they should allow players to AT LEAST have their own games or FIX THEIR GAME SEARCHES because if you dont go into a premade server someone had to spend money on you'll be put into a server all by yourself which is ridiculous. The guns from the passes are also WAY BETTER than most standard guns, incentivising and rewarding players for spending money, we have like 6 weapons that you can unlock by grinding in base game, and they are just scoped versions of the guns we already have. We don't even need a remaster for BF1 we just need an update on some of these huge problems

That's at least enough for me because my experience with custom servers tends to be "NO UAV NO UCAV NO MORTAR NO SHOTGUNS 24/7"

As for premium yeah it's not the most "consumer friendly" monetization model but honestly seeing as modern AAA games sell 20 dollar skin bundles, which is the same price if not more expensive than an older premium dlc pack, I really don't think it returning would be the worst thing ever tbh (considering with skins there is literally no impact they have on the gameplay)

also considering the value of premium dlc's in the endgame with content smurfs anything we've been getting with Battlefield since live service, and its not as if players exactly like the cosmetics of bfv and 2042, so it's been poorly implemented in both ways

Carrier Assault is the only 'modern' version of the original Battlefront 2 space battles where you'd take down a capital ship's shields, board it and then cripple it from the inside.

it just has blood puffs when you shoot/stab someone , and blood pooling under dead soldiers in only Some of the games

and the Refractor games did not even have blood
