Being able to have modular attatchments for a gun was the only real 'innovation' but unlike Metro Exodus where you were faced with starkly contrasted and diverse levels that required a modular gun configuration system, 2042 is just 'snipe with smg and run around with sniper rifle until tornado happens'.

I’m not typically against fast movement but if it allows you to break or rapidly move your hitbox there’s a problem, bfvs slide creates these issues unnecessarily

The fact that you can slide up hill is more of a problem with how they implemented it, no real or even basic restrictions

Attrition just bogs down the pace of the match cause everyone takes splash/environmental damage and can’t regen it without consuming a medkit and having to go find a medic or resupply thingy

So gunfights can get really slow paced and that + the ttk just create so many pacing issues

This is if you even see the enemy player with how much readability issues the game has

I do play both bf1 and v but honestly bfv movement is the only real advantage it has on bf1, stuff like attrition and reinforcements seems ok on paper till it leads to the issues above + sector artillery spam in breakthrough
