You have to aquire the game somehow and then download the aproprite launcher for sayed game
So for example for BF2 its BF2 hub
For BF2 its way easier then 2142
BF2 as of now still has a decent player base for a game you can't buy anywhere and has its oficial servers shut down
- if you have the game But can't be asked to download any third party launcher both 2 and 2142 has bot support But 2142 has an allways online DRM so you would still have to patch it out because no EA 2142 servers so the game has nothing to connect to so you can't start the game

I recently got into bf1 and i am super amazed on how the game really makes it feel like im in a warzone and every second death is around the corner in all manners of forms!
That being said who in their right mind came up with some of these service challenges
Like even with infinite lives some of these are just absurb and.....why wuld i bring a knife to a gun fight? Why wuld i a player activly bypass the whole point of the game to shoot people to get 50 kills with a melee weapon, not 5, not even 10, but 50 on 1 map
Listen i already had to get 10 kills with what everyone calls objectily the worse weapon in the game and i have already found worse than that, still got 10 kills my bad 15, and now i need to charge into 50 people with my baynete wich even in real war was situational

Remind me what challenge that is? Melee kills or bayonet kills? Is a certain map required? I don't remember a challenge for a weapon with 50 melee kills during one round. Naturally you will do the challenge overtime simply while playing. What's the reward for completion?

well Guns where invented allot earlier then most people realize, even when firearms became technologically advanced enough to replace bows and crossbows melee weapons where still very important before the bayonet was invented, but that's off topic with WW1, anyways. it makes sens for bayonets or melee being usefull in BF1 due to the lack of compact automatic weapons during WW1 (even tho BF1 is preaty much a WW2 game with a WW1 skin seeing how many SMG's , Auto Rifles ETC there are but still)

Then again the auto rifles and smgs are based on actual prototypes and stuff, I mean at least the way I personally see it it seems ww1 enough but definitely “alt history” in a sense since irl we never got those prototypes working or fully conceptualized
For all we know they could’ve had drastically different production models as well

In BF4, there always seems to be some sort of visible delay between firing a gun and the enemy registering a hit. Might just be network-based lag, but even on low-ping servers it feels like it.
Not sure if that's something that others have experienced.
Unless that's something that just gets tweaked via attachments. It feels like the bullets are a little slower than they should be

I found that being patient with my shots when it came to the rifles was a big help. I used to treat them as I would with full autos from other games, but you only really need to hit an enemy 3-4 times, so you just need to line up the shot instead of trying to reflex fire them

I enjoy it, but it doesn't have the same epic feeling previous titles did. I like the setting and world building they did, but it makes me wish they made a campaign for it. I still play it frequently, but if they had all/more BC2 content in it, id probably play that more than 2042.
Rush is my favorite mode in battlefield and I dont think 2042 does rush well. Breakthrough is still fun though.
