i just recently bought my best friend a brand new playstation 3 as a gift, along with a PSN gift card so he could buy battlefield 4 premium edition
he was able to purchase it just fine and download it, but he cannot access anything
when he boots up the game, it just gets stuck at the rainy cityscape loading screen for hours with nothing happening
if he signs out of PSN, he can play the campaign, but that's it, he can't play the multiplayer
if he signs back into PSN, the infinite loading screen comes back
he's deleted and reinstalled the game three times now, he spent almost 60 dollars on this and he can't even play it
i just want to play online with my friend and we can't because the multiplayer won't install, it's just an endless loading screen that never goes anywhere

side note, the Undeploy whole server exploit is due to the Cut easter egg suicide revolver that shoots backwards when hipfiring and undeploys the player when ADSing. cheaters exploit this somehow to kill everyone on the server on one or both teams if they so desire, so all dice would have to do to patch this specific exploit is to remove this weapon from the game files, but to be fair dice will never update BFV unless some one finds an exploit that can steal personal information/account logins etc

I just don't want to risk another 40 bucks or whatever buying him the physical disc, shipping it all the way across the country and then buying him a 50 dollar gift card to get premium a second time

we've tried everything at this point: deleting all game and save data, then reinstalling and redownloading everything, signing in and signing out, downloading it directly through the PlayStation store and not the downloads list
the only thing we haven't tried is an actual disc
I'm trying to have him install just the base game without premium (even though he bought the premium edition, I'm pretty sure you still have to individually install each expansion pack) and hoping that'll work
