There are actually still alot of players, especially on evenings you will easily find a server that suits your needs. You might will have problems finding a official server if that is what you are used to play on since most people do play community ones. There is one or two official servers, especially week days, you just need to be lucky. There are plenty good community ones tho

I said on #battlefield-2042 but i'll say it here as well too, ok, i started playing bf1 again this tuesday, looking for mixed servers, all of them empty i keep trying aand trying, but i find out that there is one server available, the base game servers (base game only does the main bf1 maps and the 3 TSNP maps; rupture, nivelle nights and prise de tahure) were full so from tuesday until now when there wasn't any hope on mixed servers, i would go and play conquest on the base game server, which will now lead me to say this Heartbreaking announcement, Bf1s mixed servers are long forgotten, the base game servers aren't but the mixed servers, well are long gone, im about to play it again later today, and guess what its still better. than bf 2042. Note: i played it bf1 on my ps4 and with my tv on full volume

well, ok i had a random idea to watch an episode of the underated Nickelodeon show my life as a teenage robot while playing a conquest match in battlefield 1 yesterday, my eyes had to focus on two screens. one where i was playing medic and shooting people, and the other where jenny and brad (and tucker) make a secret party only for shit to immediatly hit the fan later in one segment and in the other segment jenny loses a disk that she uses to speak english while in japan causing her to be stuck speaking japanese when returning to the states only for her to find it at the end of the episode. note: since i was playing battlefield 1 on the ps4 and the tv was on full volume 100% and the episode was playing on my phone and my phone was sitting on the corner of the tv, i had to wear headphones to hear the episode. Indeed, simulator isn't the right description. Since I didn't know any other comparison, I went with simulator but you are right at this point. Even tho I find it easier playing BFV solo, which I always do on any BF game, but thats just personal preferences. Starting with BFV, I found BF1 better to play but this has changed over the years. Wouldn't say BFV has a 2000m slide, thats a bad comparison. The slide on BFV is indeed faster and further than on BF1 but still not mandatory.
