guys, what settings should i be using on my monitor and graphics card for bf5 on pc?
Dell 32" G3223Q 4K IPS 144 Hz with an Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D with 48gb ram

On highest settings, resolution@hz and ultra settings, i don't feel like i have fps drops even though it lags somehow

idk if it's freesync or whatever, i turned that off, it's a bit smoother but still some lags

can't see that the fps meter is doing any fps drops

around 120-140 fps

Well for starters, this don’t run unless you have to. The easiest folk to kill in BF are people walking around in crouch mode not really knowing what to do/where they are. For me don’t be too tentative, keep moving purposefully, flanking is the best away to attack (easier to kill people when shooting at their backs!). Run, hop & slide make you a tougher target to hit.

Also ‘kills aren’t important’ the people who tell you that can’t kill in a fps so try to justify it by saying PTFO is more important. Wrong, PTFO AND killing the enemy on it is what caps flags.

Well, I'm not saying don't run or don't try for kills, but running everywhere and purposefully seeking out kills, at least for me, makes the game less fun.

If, for example, I am playing the Pigeon message mode thing, I should prioritize getting said pigeons and kill anyone on the enemy team who happens to be in the way.

When I was bad at BF, I still suck most of the time, I choose to only play medic with syringe. That did not help me getting better of course but it was definitely fun and I really saved most people which went down. I was probably the best medic, talking about revives, by that time. I got people back up, no one else would have tried to. If you have fun doing so, do it but you won't get better in BF if you mostly play to revive. Beginning in BF can be hard if you aren't used to it but over time you will get better naturally, just keep it going

What I really don't like about 2042s graphics, even tho they look decent to me, is that it just doesn't suit a war game in my mind. Too colourful somehow. BF4 graphics for example, gonna take this one as comparison, gave you actually the feel of a war, so does BF1. I have to say that 5 was abit too colourful to me too but still way better than BF2042.

I'm not sure if you can call it the graphics, just the whole look of it and specialists make it even worse
