Hell, even after 2042 I still don't think Battlefield needs a single player campaign. Just make a good multiplayer game. Playing with bots like in 2042 is a great option too though whenever I don't feel like playing against sweaty players.

For me, if I just picked up a new game, I expect to get hammered until I have put time in and paid my dues. Now they try to make things ‘inclusive’ so whether you are a beginner or veteran, you feel like you have had the same experience. You could rent a server, set to standard settings and auto fill from quick play. Jack comes along, and joins one rental server who’s owner decides to change game-mode between maps - Jack goes ape on video then DICE kill easy filling of rental servers. This is the power of ‘creators’ -ability to mess up something working great

The gameplay is a lot simpler and dumbed down than the rest of the battlefields

These are different two pairs of shows now. Dominating and playing. Every bf game is easy to understand. Players only fail to use the most mechanics effeciently imo. Like spotting in for example. There are cheaters but not every server has one. The bar for calling someone a cheater is pretty low nowadays. Kill somebody 2 times and you are one already.

Tactical is closer quarters (slightly more infantry based). It’s my mode as I run n gun. The most popular maps with sweats are Al Marj/Underground

Devastation is even slightly more popular on pc than these two maps.

I like Devastation and easier going than Underground etc as a lot of the sweats drop out on Rotterdam
