Battlefield V seems to be a bit slower paced than Battlefield 1 on average. There are times where you can sit and observe for a minute or two, while Battlefield 1 is constant chaos. Does this sound right to you?

The atmosphere and immersion appeals to me a great deal in Battlefield 1, but you're totally right when you said that Battlefield V has way better gameplay mechanics. My recon playstyle would mesh better with Battlefield V's pacing.

More specifically about gas grenades, I suppose BF1 could’ve had its gas mask system implemented so much better alongside a sort of mid-match event that causes gas to go over the playable map area (similar to how 2042s hourglass sandstorm works in a way) so people can’t just chuck gas grenades at an area, force those players to put the gas mask on, and profit

With how hipfire oriented BF1s gunplay is though I never HATED using the gas mask, although I see it causing issues for recons, medics, etc

There is, a scoped one is gonna be much harder to use in closed off areas where cqc is the most common engagement range

Snipers for big maps with open area or if you benefit from the zoom more, irons if you wanna conceal yourself at the cost of range capability or if the map sees more cqc than normal

Any map can use either but I'd say you'll find more success with finding one you like and testing its variants on maps

This isn't a rarity. There are at most 4 US servers online at once, and most of the time there are hackers in each. They have private groups and discord servers. Everyone who plays knows it's an issue. One of them openly said in chat that if anything happens to their account it's no big deal, they make a new one and are back it it within an hour.

With all of that said... this game being promoted on steam, on sale, is a slap in the face and a disgusting move by EA
