I’d recommend using Battlelog and checking if a server actually has people in it before joining.

On a lot of things BFV is a better game than BF1. It has no suppression, there is actual ability for movement and aggressive gameplay, sweet spot is not in the game, suppression is not in the game. But there's still spread to recoil conversion and that alone is just ugh to me.

Like, I don't mind spread in like BF4, because there's no visual recoil and you can easily figure out how the spread works and how best to deal with it by just messing around in the test range for a while. It's also possible in BF1, but made more difficult by the fact that visual recoil exists and you also have to consider that suppression exists, and also just your guns randomly moving away from the center of the screen for some reason. It's not preferable, and also the rest of BF1 sucks gameplay wise anyway.
In my view BFV fixed most of the blatant issues BF1 had while also just making the gunplay a bit worse for no good reason.

1 shot body deaths out to arbitrary ranges is the entire problem, there's no skill in that and most people simply get them because of luck because nobody who actually gives a shit would try only shooting people in the sweetspot range rather than just going for headshots which takes a lot more effort.

set the slot setting to show 1-5 and 10+ slots servers
select your region too
using "none" slots setting will only show full servers, you're guaranteed to find servers using this option but you will have to wait in queue

Best thing to do usually is to go from cover to cover until you reach the objective.

Hello Gamers! It seems unfortunately, as of March 14th, 2023 (At least where I am), EA updated Origin and seemed to change how local.xml is generated, now generating whenever you launch Origin. This pretty much impacts how this method is done, since before, Origin only generated/updated local.xml whenever you fully closed Origin. Even if you had the setting key inside local.xml and closed Origin, it would still be there. I'd have to assume that the setting key is either blacklisted or straight up deleted. This is some unfortunate news to hear, as we all pretty much stick with Origin because of EA App's poor optimization when it comes to older games, and lack of features that Origin holds. There may not be a fix for this, and we will unfortunately have to move on and stick with EA's new app. This will have a huge impact on us Origin users. Only time will tell if there will be a new method of using Origin again.
