Locker is the best infantry map in BF4 by virtue of being the only one. It's not very good, but it's the only one it has unless you wanna play Metro again.

and most of the time I have more fun than playing regularly

simply because I can run around as an assault with a bolt action

and in my eyes, if faster ttk makes the game more fun then there's a problem with the ttk normally

I don't really have a problem with the TTK in BF1. There are other issues with the game that are more severe in my opinion.

-Spread is not a bad balancing mechanic. However, it is unintuitive in BF1. There are no bullet tracers in first person, there is no test range, and the visual recoil in this game makes ADSing fully automatic weapons a crapshoot most of the time unless you're laser focused on the center of your screen, or you run a crosshair overlay, which is cheating.

Even outside of SMG's though spread is not great, the penalty for moving while shooting is extreme, and is magnified when you consider the medic SLR's in this game, which already have unusually high spread values for what are supposed to be rifles meant to shoot people at a distance. Like yeah, I get you're supposed to pace your shots, but I feel like that's a bit unreasonable for me to do when i'm using a gun like the Autoloading 8 which has a firerate of 359 RPM, compared to the 179-299 RPM of the other non-full auto SLR's in this game.

-Gas Grenades go through walls and floors. This is clearly not intended but it was never fixed so it remains an issue and is a severely annoying one because people often run gas grenades in maps with buildings because you can just toss one and cover the floor you're on and also the floor underneath you, forcing anyone going into your building to wear a gas mask and be unable to ADS

-Lighting in BF1 sucks shit. It just does. They introduced HDR support with BF1 and as a result lighting is just fucked to accommodate the feature despite the fact that a vast minority of people playing the game actually used it. Looking out of windows is practically impossible above 50% brightness in game, which is a problem because you'd want your brightness up that high so you can fucking see anything in the night maps this game has.

like, even if it deserved a nerf, only the first nerf, where they introduced a speed penalty for trying to slide twice in a row, would've been justified.

Just use the server browser and don't queue up. You can choose your map and see how many players are on the server. So you won't get into empty games. Matchmaking in bf games always has been a bit wacky. Community Server in BFV are not permanent. As soon as the last player leaves the server shuts down.

It’s simple, if the enemy team is too strong on a set amount of objectives just go behind and back cap, it messes up team dispersion, forces vehicles to choose where to focus on which can take them away from a contested area, etc

I agree. Spreads out the enemy team, and gives your random team mates an opportunity to capture objectives which were heavily defended before but are now almost defenseless because a majority of the enemy team rushes back to cap the off points.

It means that you adjust the scope to the range to accomodate bullet drop.

So say you zero on 100m. Then if you aim at something 100m away, it will hit that exact spot.

So if you zero in on say 1000m, then you can just point at something 1000m away and be sure that the bullet will land on your crosshair. But for targets closer the bullet will go above the crosshair.

**QUESTION: **Recently went back to 2042, was playing on the PS4 about a month ago. Now I am on the PS5, but I noticed the in-game voices for soldiers is absent whereas on the PS4 you can hear the soldiers around you in English and Russian. Is there a way to enable the voices on the PS5 version of Battlefield 2042? Running and gunning on the PS5 version seems way too quiet when literally no character speaks, at rare times you can hear someone call for a revive, but it is very rare.

QUESTION: Good morning, afternoon or evening, I have a problem after having installed "Battlefield 4 Premium" it turns out that when starting the game from the Steam library it opens the EA application and then opens and closes it once more and does not start the game. (In the first start of the game, PunkBuster and the EA application were automatically installed and it asked me to enter my Steam account, after that, when opening the game, the EA app opens and closes, culminating in the game not starting)

BFV’s issues were not quickly fixed. It had the same content drag, if not worse, than 2042 has had, and dealt with balance issues over two years after launch (looking at you, 5.2). I also played BFV from launch and played it consistently through to the day 2042 launched.

You can, but if it’s like Xbox? Actually turning it off is a hassle. You have to go into your system settings on the dashboard to actually change it. Xbox is by default after one of the updates. No idea for PlayStation

People pretend like BFV, BF1, and BF4 had amazing launches and lifespans with zero issues just to hate on the new game, just as each of those games were hated at launch for the same reasons.
