The reason some hate it, iirc, was because in BF4 especially, you could spam your spot button and essentially have a red Dorito on enemies heads for long enough to beam them, even through vegetation and stuff

I dunno about BFV personally, but if you spam spot in 2042 you have to sit through a cooldown before you can use it again, so you can’t just scan around while spamming Q and get a red “aim here” dorito

The idea of "you can't carry much ammo but also literally every dead enemy is an ammo drop" isn't exactly appealing to me. (DOOM did a similar thing and I wasn't a fan there either.)

Since it just means you have to walk over every dead enemy but also meaning long term management isn't a thing.

A WW2 Tactical Shooter I love, Hidden and Dangerous 2, had the Delisle Carbine as a powerful silenced rifle but you only had so much ammo that you brought into a campaign.

(The game was split up kinda like war stories? No plot but each campaign was a 2-3 long mission chain focusing on one specific operation so gear would carry over between levels.)

Granted there was alot of differences (You controlled a 4-man squad for instance) but essentially, if you brought the Silenced sten/Delisle into a mission, then you'd have to make the most of what ammo you brought with you. (Since while there are ammo crates that can restore ammo for all weapons, they're pretty rare unlike BF:V.)

You also rely on medpacks to heal instead of regen. (which BF:V Multiplayer does so I dunno why they didn't do that in the campaign.)

Bad Company 1 never got a PC port, Modern Combat never got a PC port and 1942/2142/Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 all got pulled

(Same with Epic delisting all the Unreal games, which makes no sense even from an official servers prespective since Unreal 1 was mainly sold for the campaign and Unreal 2 was only the campaign until a post-launch multiplayer expansion)

They could at least update the really old games so they could keep selling them or do a Soldner and let the community host the older games for free download and let them update them

Omg this game is impossible!! Everytime i start the first thing I do is collect 20 stacks of dirt so I can build a house for shelter. But most times some zombie or spider traps me in a corner and kills me. I even try finding high ground so I can see things approaching but they always just spawn on me. It's so broken and impossible this game needs to be nerfed
