Fast SMG as in fast time to kill? Then the Suomi or the Type 2A.

I personally prefer the Suomi though since it's a bit easier to control. And I think the effective range is farther than the Type 2A, if I'm not mistaken.

Depends on what you want out of a Battlefield game, I guess.
Battlefield 1 has very clearly defined class roles so it's very easy to figure out what the enemies you're facing are capable of. Only thing is that also affects the gunplay, which I personally find unsatisfying. And of course no one shuts up about how good the game's atmosphere is.
Battlefield V has much better gunplay and movement mechanics. I personally think it respects your skill moreso than Battlefield 1 does. Also helps that all DLC is free; just gotta grind CC for weapons and gadgets.

You still have to reach rank 10 with the weapon to unlock all of the Urban Blue skins.

Spread in itself is not a bad balancing mechanic. It allows for a level of determining what ranges a weapon should be used at, while also allowing skilled players who know how the system works to push the potential of the gun they have. It's not a perfect system, but done properly, with no visual recoil and suppression, it would likely be superior to how BFV works.

Because the way the games before BFV worked is that you shot from the center of your screen. That's it. No matter what your sights were doing, you always shot from the center of your screen.

BF1 did a good job on keeping classes where they were supposed to be. There's layers to every engagement.

Medics work best when equipped for mid-range, so they can move forward and back to revive as needed.

If they're up the front, that just means that they're going to get shot first, and then nobody's reviving.

Sorry for the delay. Battlefield 1 is loved because of the love I put into the game, you will have noticed it when you play it. Although Battlefield 5 was not well received due to the lack of iconic ww2 maps and bad decisions, I can say that it is fine at that price now. Lots of people are buying and playing it, just like 1. It wouldn't hurt if you buy it and have that frenetic 5 experience yourself.

There is a tdm mode but the player amount for it is lowered to i think 32 or 24

They’ll be adding the class system back in, no not class/faction models as some might get mixed up, but specialists will only be able to use certain gadgets and throwable based on class

Yea, I personally think although the class thing is good I still would’ve preferred them phasing out specialists but thats clearly a no go, which it is what it is

I can’t be mad or anything and I’m certainly not since 2042 as a lot of people have said before was clearly initially designed as a stand-alone BR of some sort

Yeah my expectations for the game were extremely high, I played the beta and was hoping it was going to have improved massively by the time the game dropped. Unfortunately in my opinion I didn’t feel as though it had, as there were so many bugs. I have heard many people say that they have got on top of that, so I’m definitely willing to give it another chance. I’m hoping future battlefields don’t follow the same pattern - which I’m sure they won’t 🤞
