Commander would be an actual soldier on the ground which would give him more motivation to actually use items like the radar and supply drop.

Also those assets can be destroyed, the things used to call them in are in the HQ, if destroyed they won't be able to use it for the remainder of the match

The commander also had a unique voice over from the rest of the soldiers

But of course you would always have that one commander who would always spam the voice lines like "My GRANDMOTHER can do better"

Bf4 everyone is using their own camo they unlocked so it's hard to tell them apart the most, sure they have very slight different clothing but you won't notice it in hardcore when the combat starts since everyone has different camos and since its hardcore you have no HUD indicators

Bf1 you don't notice it too much either cause of the way it plays

2042 has those lights being the biggest give away, plents of other games use the same player models and don't even get people complaining even when they have no indicators

I wrote a whole list of my problems with BF1. Here's that.
-Visual recoil exists. They removed it in BF4 due to it being distracting. Why on earth DICE decided to bring it back in this game, despite it having the same gunplay as BF4, is beyond me
-Suppression. This should be self explanatory.
-Massive overrepresentation of machineguns for a World War 1 game, on top of having blatant balance issues, Hellriegel and SMG08 in particular
-Sweet spots for Scout is a bad mechanic, and making it so bolts can't oneshot in close range was a mistake.
-Gas grenades damage people through floors and walls. They never fixed this.
-Lighting is fucked, it's practically impossible to see through windows if you have your brightness at higher than 50% in-game
-Elite classes are annoying and in the case of the Sentry, blatantly overpowered.
-LMG hipfire is way too effective
-They changed how Conquest and Domination work in an effort to make matches feel closer than they actually are, by making it so the team with the score advantage keeps scoring even after losing the majority of flags
-No test range like BF4. There was one made for BF1 Incursions, it was in CTE, they just never released it
-Perks that made it so grenades don't oneshot you, removing the distinction between the grenades by making most of them useless
-Nade spam is such a massive problem
-Medic SLR's have too much spread in my opinion
-No bullet tracers in first person

If it's still the same since it was last reported, only Recon 3x sights weapons have glint. Other classes with 3x sights do not. Not sure if 3x's glint intensity is the same or less.
