Hey, question about BF5. I just started playing (this is my first Battlefield game in fact), and I'm trying to complete the assignment "Basic Training: Assault Class". I've completed the "deal 200 damage with the starter weapon" objective, and now it wants me to either damage 5 players with the grenade launcher, or damage 3 players with the sticky dynamite. I don't have the grenade launcher, so I have to do the dynamite one. Problem is, it's not registering any progress despite me damaging at least 7 different people with dynamite by now. Is there something I'm missing with this assignment? How do I get it to track the dynamite hits?

...oh. Nevermind, it finally registered my progress after I finished this last match. Now the assignment is done.

New question. Are there any other special assignments in the game besides the Basic Training ones and the battle royale one? If so, how do I unlock them? I've completed all the basic training ones, but haven't touched the battle royale one because I don't care for battle royale as a genre or game mode.

Personally I like BF1 the best, possibly because it’s the only one I’ve played besides 2042 but its still so much fun. I like the slower pace. Combat skill is still important but strategy has more importance than it does in faster paced bfs like 2042

I mean theres no doubt these things were just added in to make money like ofc neither of them are historically accurate but you can definitely say bf1 is far more authentic and immersive experience because it doesnt have silly skins and females that were clearly not in a war (except russian scouts which is fine cuz that makes sense) but well skins sell so yeah

There's only a few skins in bfv that are out of place and you get those for free, the rest are authentic to the setting, the female playable character isn't even a problem considering its just a little fun instead of being forced to play one gender

There's no lag compensation for players playing higher than 150 ping and I play with 160-170 which means I have to lead my shots in the direction the enemy is moving. Sometimes bullets don't even register on still enemies. I don't know how to lead on still players, lemme know if someone does. So yeah this kills the gameplay completely.

Bfv assignments are the best, 20 kills in an objective zone in a single round or 10 in 1 life but the weapon is only good at long range. My personal favourite for the Breda, get 25 kills over 50m away (it becomes useless after 50m and just tickles the enemy)

Aight, I installed EA app and it automatically uninstalled origin, unfortunately it doesn't have any games besides apex on it

Bf1 and bf4 didn't transfer to the EA app

got this so many times although fairfight is turned off in bf1 and only hackers that go blatant for 2-3 weeks get banned.

Steam owned EA games do not get transferred to the EA App, and still require Origin to launch.

I only had bf4 on origin I played bf1 through game pass which forced me to use EA app then later i bought it so I never really used origin for any of them

now EA app makes me rip my hairs off the head sometimes but yeah

I dont think anyone has a dumber launcher then EA even uplay is more manageable

Well it's been going on for over a week now and nothing I've tried so far has managed to fix it, I've been able to play twice but once I leave the match I can't join any servers after that

Like, it glitches out for a split second whilst trying to join a match and suddenly it just allows me into the server

Besides battlefield, battlefront 2 works ok for some reason, error 216 started showing up here and there but I can join co-op matches

I'd say it's affected but not as bad as bf1 and bf4

Well, you could just rush in and shoot em once with a pistol and spam melee

After all, frontal takedowns exist in bf1
