under certain range for different weapons of the sniper class

it's the only thing that guarantees a one shot kill as snipers are usually 2 hit kills on the upper body

not counting headshots obviously

Compared to standard ps4 it is a lot better, most games have a ps4 pro version which defaults to on ps5 is there is no ps5 version. The resolution will probably be higher more consistently also with the checkerboard rendering

The one X version is the best console version but ps4 pro has much improved visuals over standard ps4

Ps5 and series x would have the power to keep a constant 60 fps unlike the pro models

It’s not that. Most BF’s launched with bugs, some with missing features (eg clans, rental servers) but with 2042 DICE made a decision to remove many of the fundamental key features needed. It was a misguided attempt to make the franchise more inclusive (but at a cost of making it not fun).

A windows pops up saying ‘Repair the installation and try again’. I hate Marita and Devastation because they’re too dark for me. So many spots where I can’t make out a damn thing, so many shadows that I’ll easily overlook and suddenly three guys come out to slaughter me

Twisted Steel is similar but with the tall grass and marshes obscuring things. Loads of snipers and supports hidden there. Plus every single damn time I play, over half my team will be fighting for the bridge while the enemy swiftly takes everything else. So when those of us who have some sense try and take the other objectives, they’re too heavily defended

I used to like Solomon but every damn match lately has had the majority of both sides fighting for the center village, neither side making a significant push. Like with Twisted Steel, whenever a few of us try and sneak around to take the objectives closer to the enemy spawn, we’re either outmaneuvered and slaughtered, picked off by a single sniper that we never locate, or we get a tank rolling in from the nearby spawn that mows us down

My favorites are probably Panzerstorm, Provence, Mercury and Arras

Hamada’s hit or miss for me. I hear lots of people hate it but I like the constant tank warfare. But what I hate is when, like others, my team either scatters to the wind to do fuck all, or only focuses on one objective while the enemy takes every single other one simultaneously

Quite possibly my least favorite thing in the game is nobody doing anything about tanks. I’ll run Assault exclusively to deal with tanks, only to find I’m all alone dealing with them while our tanks try and act like artillery by shelling random spots from the edge of the map

Yeah we run a squad of 4 assaults when tanks but sometimes hard to get to the ones sat back in spawn on certain maps (til you get a V1)

And I’m nowhere near good enough to outsmart tanks. I’ll always try and sneak around to put my dynamite on their weak spot, but they’ll catch me and mow me down as the first bundle is midair. Or some infantry will pop up out of nowhere and kill me as I try to do so

when the season 2 of bf2042 came out all the normal players left BFV and started playing bf2042 BUT all the bad players with type 2 a and mmg campers and shotgun abusers remained in the game making it unplayable because the servers with low ping for me are infested with these type of players and the other servers i get an really high ping and even in that servers there is sometimes hackers and bad players that use type 2 a

idk what to do im in a panic state rn because i just want to play the game like it was before the season 2 of bf2042

i dont have an game to replace BFV as my main shooter game because im not going to play one of that trash modern shooters that are free and my pc cant run bf2042 and i dont got the money to buy an new one because it costs too much in my country (altough im still trying to save money to buy a new pc)

Okay I found a fix for PS4 users at least.

Go into your PS4 library and click on battlefield 1. From there click on playstation store and it will show you all of the add ons/purchases you have for that game. Click on the part that says battlefield 1 premium. Then simply re-download premium and all of the weapons should re-appear. *

Hey. Has anyone run into, On Battlefield 4, Servers not showcasing pings correctly?
I join a server and it tells me i have 22 ping, However after 20 mins of play it goes to 120+.
I've noticed it's correlated with the number of players; I join an empty server, it's at a constant 20 and doesn't move.

I'm also getting some pretty bad Ping spikes too accompanying it.
I'm on Wifi but i'm the only person on the network

Does anyone have any ways to improve performance in 2042? I recently downgraded from a 4K60 display to a 1080p 144hz one to try and get better performance and faster refresh rate, but even at 1080p the game runs absolutely awfully even at all low settings and with NVIDIA reflex on (with boost). My PC is a few years old now but it shouldn't be suffering this badly, i'm barely able to get a consistent 80FPS on average which at 1080p is just ridiculous. If anyone has any OS related advice or in-game settings tweaks I can do, it would be very much appreciated.

Would not have made a difference in this one. The issues were not bugs due to rushed release but bad decisions which involved omitting core, basic functions (in a misguided attempt to make the game more inclusive)

After 4 ish hours of air superiority, I've managed 1 out of the 3 ribbons for the UCAV. God I hate jet combat on BF4. I'd honestly pay to boost this right now, I suck with planes in this game

I don’t think 2042 will ever recover to that level tbh. Look at where things are now, they are band aiding the poor design choices made with the game by redesigning existing maps and re-adding a similar class system to the old games. The issue BF5 had at launch was its bugs and lack of content which were addressed over time, the core mechanics though were always at least decent, we had crouch running and much better animations and maps than 2042.

For the guns I use on BFV the recoil is fine

Bloom - Your gun becomes less accurate as you shoot in full auto or just shoot quickly, but your shots always originate from the center of your screen

BFV Recoil - Recoil is random and bullets originate from where ever the sights are pointing

Visual recoil is literally just the game lying to you in regards to bloom

I can only go from my experience. I was late to BF so have only played Hardline, BF1, BFV & 2042. Of these the gunplay feels sublime to me on BFV compared to the others.

I've played Bad Company 2, BF3, BF4, Hardline, and BF1.

I like BF4 and Hardline. Though Hardline requires a decent server, cause trying to play that game on a 30hz server with modified damage for no reason? Garbage.

Should also be mentioned that i'm on PC.
