The recoil really isn’t that strong when you get down to it. Generally speaking, the highest recoil is found on the weapons that are designed to work at ranges where the recoil doesn’t matter.

Or it’s just plain powerful and you have to space your shots.

There’s also the difference between hipfire and aimed fire.

SMGs are often more controllable without zoom.

Storm variants have lower aimed recoil while Trench variants have better hipfire precision.

Factory variants return to zero faster, which rewards proper control.

BF1 hands down because the air is balanced perfectly in that game. in bf2042 you get shredded because some air nerd that knows how to exploit the poor infantry to air combat and it ruins the flow of gameplay. if i can get a bunch of kills in a plane in bf1 then you most def balanced the air correctly. everytime i get into a plane or a heli in bf2042 i either get shot down instantly or someone else in a plane or a heli will climb all the way to the skybox and snipe me with one of the cannons or just straight up jet ram me. its really not fun fighting these things both air vs air and infantry vs air.

I'm a huge fan of the extensive mag of the SMG 08 and hipfire stability of the weapon, though I find it incredibly weak at higher ranges where the spread and recoil make it weak

What weapon can hipfire good, has a large mag, and perhaps has a bipod attachment or just generally good ads spread with a good fire rate to match? I'm fine if it subtracts from the per shot damage or most things, so long as it can fit the description well enough to essentially be a higher ranged mini08

Spread is good too

Fire the Hellriegel in short 5-6 round burst when engaging enemy.

Certain weapons tend to have obvious horizontal recoil

The recoil direction option allows you to reduce/mitigate horizontal recoil issues for better accuracy

Towards a more aesthetic display, tuning your recoil direction gives your weapon a muzzle attachment.
