So apparently 2042 does use a totally new Frosbite 4,while Bf4 bf1 and bf5 were iterations of Frosbtbite 3. This is the main reason they why there is so many bugs, that which many backend code for the next game after 2042, which will be losing support for Ps4 and old xbox.

Hard drive space | Check install location from Origin. Is it installing to smaller drive and you are not aware of it? Try to complete re close out Origin and restart the installation process.
