Assault is just an anomalous pile of refuse. Them being medic wasn’t a bad thing. Then this spawn beacon stuff, my god. Truly I think that they are intentionally destroying the legacy of this game on purpose, it was too good of a game, too unifying, too enjoyable, that they slopified it into a COD/Fornite garbage. Because Dice is actively attemping to fix everything players are most frustrated about. MR missiles, flares not working against getting painted, the drone bug.

Those have been a massive outcry in the community regarding what has been the most frustrating thing to deal with, and its the first thing they have attempted to fix.

"But what about big maps? everyones complaining about it"

But what about consideration for other players? Bigger maps = more performance cost. Maps have also been made with their boundries in mind. Its not as simple as just extending the boundry.

They need to extend it, fill it with debris and environmental pieces so its not just flat ground/hills, they need to playtest it so see how the matches then flow with those larger changes, before it can be pushed to the community.

Yes, changes have been slow to arrive, and there are still bugs, and its reasonable to be upset, but Dice doesn't work 24/7 around the player clock. They have their own time region, they also get to clock out of work, rest, have a weekend. An issue isn't going to pop up and get fixed in 2 days. With all the numerous different bugs popping up, I can imagine their work-force are very split between fixing everything, meaning its not getting done as quickly.

People just love to jump on the extreme hate band-wagon, in my opinion, just to be inconsiderate, and fit in with everyone else hating.

Finally getting the hang of BF6. As a huge arcade shooter veteran, this game was a HUGE wakeup call for how I should play the game. As a recon when I started, I used to just try and quickscope, run into random situations and not do much.

Now I’m spotting with my drone and doing genuine recon. I think of it like this too. When you see these real Navy Seals and Operators. They aren’t talking about running in and killing 40 mfs. They are gathering intel and getting to the objective.

Are you having any trouble in any other regard with your internet connection ? i.e. is anything else being laggy too?

I don't want to post a bunch of links in here in case it isn't allowed, but I would look up "jitter test" and "packet loss test" on google + do some of that to see if there's anything more up with your connection as that tends to matter more than raw Mbps.
When you do that ping test, do so to multiple regions if possible to see what's up.

I can also explain some hardware level things you can do in command prompt to test your connection some more, but the above suggestion would probably do it in a more user-friendly way.

This guy's original optimization video guide is reasonably correct but he talks a bit about modifying/deleting Reflex/Engine DLL's which can break stuff/be counter productive. Can also introduce instability at unforeseen moments. High GPU usage also isn't inherently "bad", he's a bit simplistic there. My rig is running a card with more than what is necessary, and it's typically at 80-95% usage with my Overkill graphical settings on BF6 . It's not struggling, it's just doing it's job 😛

• always carry a rocket launcher, it has its own slot and very important otherwise u get rekt by tanks
• always carry airstrike/artillery, save it for emergencies or endgame. you can use it to spot players with its thermal , its extremely powerful
• if you are playing for placement, always play center of zone, use vehicles for transport
• looting is a skill, get good at it. you should be spending 10% of the game looting and the rest of the game rotating, killing players, doing missions etc
• missions are super important because they give you class perks which are extremely powerful especially lategame

The game is picky about what it counts as a “concussed kill.” You have to hit them with the stun first, then finish them with a regular weapon while they’re still under the concussion effect. If they die from the stun impact itself, the thermite burn, or anything explosive, it won’t count. So: stun → swap weapon → kill while they’re dizzy.

The window where the game considers them “concussed” is super short, so if your follow-up shot lands even a second too late, it won’t count. The challenge tracking is just strict. Best way is to stun right as you peek, then fire immediately with something that kills fast. Don’t wait or reposition. It’s a dumbly small timing window, but that’s how the system is coded at the moment.

If I had to guess it's basically a balance choice they pushed too far. They didn’t want helicopters and jets farming the whole map like in older titles, so they toned down air armor and gave ground vehicles way more durability and anti-air options. In my opinion the problem is they didn’t really meet in the middle, so right now tanks feel like brick houses and aircraft do be feel weak unless you’re already really good at flying. Secure Boot only works when Windows is installed on a GPT partition, not MBR. You don’t need to reinstall Windows though; you can convert the drive safely. Open Command Prompt as admin and run: mbr2gpt /validate then mbr2gpt /convert (this is built into Windows). Open the server settings in your custom match, go to the Team Setup tab, and enable manual team switching. Once that’s on, you can just press the change-team button in the deploy screen. If it’s grayed out, it usually means auto-balance is still on, so turn that off too. After that you should be able to swap sides and play against your friend without any issues.

You actually need to use the medical crate or med pen to restore health while teammates are already injured. Just follow people into fights and drop the crate where they take damage. It’s slow but it does work, the game just tracks raw HP healed, not actions like reviving.

Its the freaking XP cooldown kicking in. If you play on community servers with boosted XP settings or weird rules, the game auto-limits your XP to basically nothing. Jump back into official EA servers and you’ll earn normal XP again. I think they did this just to prevent custom server farming.

They recently changed how the browser sorts and shows custom servers. A lot of Dom servers are still up, but the list is kind of buried now. Make sure you switch the filter to ‘All Regions’ and sort by player count. Also try refreshing a couple times, i can tell you the browser is just super inconsistent. 🫡

Yes. There are people funneling things from here, the forums, Reddit etc., compiling it and delivering it to the dev teams. That being said, any major feedback might go better on somewhere persistent, and not a chat. The EA forums for example.

I think that's a straight CPU bottleneck happening in BF6 then. I think the reason is when the CPU is pegged like that, the game will stutter even if your GPU is chilling or sumthg like that. Try limiting your FPS to something stable like 120 or 144 instead of letting it run unlocked, and turn down CPU-heavy settings like mesh/terrain quality and soldier/vehicle animations, those hit the processor way harder than raw graphics. If that still doesn’t smooth it out, it’s most likely just the game being poorly optimized right now.

You can’t switch it in the in-game settings. You have to change it in the launcher. Open the Battlefield 6 launcher, go to Game Settings → Graphics or Advanced, and look for ‘Graphics API.’ Change it from DirectX 12 to DirectX 11, save it, and restart the game. If your launcher doesn’t show that option, you can also force it by adding -dx11 to the game’s launch arguments.

I've learned theres a sweet spot around 98%-99%. The game gives a slight buffer to be able to spawn when you hit it and it says "unavailable." Spam it RIIIIGHT before spawn and you'll avoid this buffer.

Probably because that skin was built specifically to fit the campaign cinematics and story pacing, not the multiplayer customization system. Those campaign models sometimes use different rigs, textures, or detail levels that don’t translate cleanly to player skins without extra work. But in my honest opinion, it's most likely licensing or marketing decisions, since they want to save certain looks for future packs so they don’t burn through all the “cool factor” at once. My guess is the game is basically loading the menu behind the splash screen, but the UI layer never refreshes. What you could do is rebuild your PS5 database: turn the console off, hold the power button until it beeps twice, go into Safe Mode, choose “Rebuild Database.” It doesn’t delete anything, it just clears corrupted cache.

Then the next reliable fix is a full delete and reinstall of the game files. The update probably corrupted something in the install, and the console can’t repair it on its own. Uninstall BF6, restart the PlayStation, then reinstall it clean. I know it’s a pain, but that’s been the only thing actually fixing the frozen menu issue for people when the database rebuild fails. You might want to give it a shot.

It’s just tied to whatever “Player Card” background you currently have equipped. It’s not based on skill, level, squad leader, or anything like that. It’s literally just a cosmetic you unlock from progression, challenges, or bundles. So if you want a different color or look, you have to change the card background in the customization menu.

The Pro Pass rewards aren’t always syncing correctly, so yeah it's bound to happen. Fix is to restart the game and play one full match, the unlocks tend to pop at the end of a match instead of instantly. If they still don’t show up, then it’s on EA’s side and you’ll just have to wait for their next backend sync or hotfix.

At that point it’s not going to fix itself on your end, the rewards are just stuck in their backend. Only move left is to open a support ticket with EA and attach proof that you own the Pro Pass, because they have to manually push the missing items to your account. In my opinion the thing wasn’t meant to be an actual feature i think, it was just players abusing physics. The latest update fixed the interaction so you can’t stand on them anymore, because people were using it to get into spots you’re not supposed to reach and stuff like that. 😂

It’s basically a corrupted update. That usually means the game install got desynced from the system’s version info. The console thinks it already has the newest patch, but the game sees the files are incomplete. Just try to delete just the game data (not your save data), then restart and let it re-download the update properly. If you’re on PlayStation, that’s: Settings → Storage → Games → Battlefield 6 → Delete, then reinstall.

yes and no. It does include a browser where you can browse servers, but it’s specifically tied to the Portal mode (custom/community-servers) rather than giving full access to all official matchmaking servers.

If you were supposed to and still haven’t, you’ll still get it. They’re rolling it out in waves, and some accounts take longer to sync than others. If you were eligible, it will show up once their backend finishes pushing the grants. If it’s been several days with no change, then it’s worth opening a support ticket, but so far nobody who was eligible has been denied, it’s just slow.

Battlefield is just steep let me tell you that, especially if you are a newbie 😂. Start in “Solo & Co-op” with bots so you can mess around without pressure; that’s the best place to get used to the controls. The full version doesn’t magically make training easier, it just gives access to more maps and modes, so you can stick with the free version while you get the basics down. Also, feel free to lower your sensitivity and turn on aim assist if it isn’t already, that alone makes the game way less overwhelming on a controller.

🤔 Hmm, usually finishing another match or two sometimes forces it to pop, but if you’ve already done that and nothing changed, then the weapon is just stuck on their side. There’s no trick or hidden requirement, it’s literally an unlock bug.

Yeah, I've completed MANY matches since then but nothing happens...

Yeah, same deal. Some of the operator or characters unlocks are also failing to register even after you finish the requirements. If you’ve already played a couple full matches after completing the challenges and nothing popped, then it’s stuck on the backend just like the weapon unlocks. There isn’t a fix on your side. You just have to wait for an patch/update.

Only 1 fix for the aerial vehicles😢 and that's not even aerial vehicles problem, I'd like to see the infantry play for a month without a minimap. That's exactly what's happening with the jets, for example; there hasn't been a functioning air radar since the game was released. The ammo reloading boxes don't work properly; on some maps, you spend more time trying to reload than actually attacking objectives. Not to mention that we have to fly so low to refuel that most of the time there's a helicopter refueling or another jet trying to take off.The flairs, how is it possible that the duration of the helicopter's flairs is the same as a jet that reaches speeds 5 times greater and manages to escape before the noob on the Stinger even reloads?Almost 2 months after launch and this is all the pilots are receiving.It's just a sad situation, that's enough.There are absolutely no dogfights; we're taking off from the runway and we're already being marked by the AA camped at the enemy base. What the hell is this all about?? The aerial vehicles are only in the game for decoration, to die cinematically,I haven't spoken up until now because I was hoping things would be fixed, but enough is enough.

It just isn’t registering properly in this patch. A few players said it sometimes counts if you get kills instead of just damage, but it’s hit or miss. Otherwise you’ll have to wait for the devs to fix it. But don't worry it’s not a skill issue. 😉

That lines up with what others are seeing. So it doesn’t matter if you hit the same guy again or get a kill, it won’t add anything past that first 14 damage tick. It’s not something you can work around; the challenge itself is just broken right now. The fix has to come from the devs.

Hey sorry for the late response. They unlock based on your squad’s score during the match. As your squad earns points from kills, revives, captures, spotting, etc., the vehicle crates on the map start unlocking in stages. Once your squad hits the required score threshold, the option to pull a tank from that freight becomes available.
