Goku's stamina and state of mind can't keep up Mastered Ultra Instinct, so the longer the fight, the less effective it is. You saw when Jiren endured the fight and landed so many hits on MUI Goku.
Vegeta's Ultra Ego is reverse where the longer the fight, the more powerful he gets and it is easier to maintain the lust for battle to fuel his form.
The only way to break him out of his form is to land too many powerful blows to overcome his Ultra Ego tankiness.
But Ultra Ego also has a speed boost.
If a fight goes on long enough, Ultra Ego will let Vegeta one-shot any villain.
The only true advantage I see with Ultra Instinct is that Goku just learned that he can stack it on other forms, which Vegeta will eventually learn to do the same with Ultra Ego.
Ultra Ego is a ramp-up technique. The more lust for battle he has, the more powerful he gets. The more he gets hit, the more powerful he gets.
Ultra Instinct is a temporary buff immediately.

The XM8 was originally part of the OICW Program. When the program was cancelled cause it wasn't working, the rifle and grenade launcher parts were split off into their own guns.
