Most of the current world records are with the IAR, its just a "great at everything" gun with basically no recoil, good accuracy, and being mag fed means its uptime is much higher than belt feds (and it gets the free ADS speed boost while using support)

@muted wraith A little while ago I was playing Battlefield on the new map, and honestly the flare system feels broken.
The lock-ons come from over 800 meters away, and the flares barely even work. It’s becoming ridiculous and nowhere near as enjoyable as Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4. Even Battlefield 2042 felt better for air combat compared to this.

Right now, jet gameplay feels like a joke.
There are streamers flying jets who can do whatever they want, while regular players get destroyed instantly and nobody listens to them.

And honestly, I’m not judging you either because you’re not a professional pilot, so you probably don’t understand what I’m talking about from an air combat perspective.
Anyway, enjoy the game.
My issue is mainly with the designers and the direction they’ve taken. ✈️

If one guy could either spend a week implementing platoons, debugging issues, and getting it QA'd and into prod, that same time is actively taking away from high priority deadline-based tasks like upcoming hard-content or critical issues internally

because the term platoons is deceiving, in reality its, its own piece of software infrastructure, if you drill below the term and ask what does that look like, youll quickly see why, whats in a platoon? the first 3 pieces according to past games, some sort of party system, a recruitment system, and some sort of integration which touches on matchmaking, now, from those 3 things, you are hitting at minimum 10 different orchestration layers, frontend, backend, networking, etc, always look past what a term seems, and what it actually means

My understanding is laser designator is supposed to autonomously designate when you have it deployed but aren’t actively using it, is that right? If so, having trouble getting it to actually do that when it’s down.
