the PC mouse aim being better to controller aim is a bit overstated, back in the day during PS3 or Xbox 360 ? yea it was not even close, but from PS4 onward the controllers gotten more precise, even more so if you use gyro aiming (Xbox controllers still suck tho)

To be fair , some games have aim assist that is literally soft aimbot , newer cods is a good example , and the fact that in cod and apex , not that I play those 2 anymore tons of competitive players swapped to controller due to how strong aim assist is , regardless of whether its strong or not , anything not full manual input will always get complaints , input based matchmaking would just solve this issue , controller with controller , mouse with mouse , no cross input playing , no problems.
