They really should add a tank and flight school so players can practice with vehicles in an environment where they aren't taking up a team resource and wasting it
Id love to practice with aircraft but I cant and the practice portal servers either dont work or have people killing other people with aircraft, stealing it when it spawns or spawnkilling aircraft so it doesnt work as practice

Fr, like a breakthrough type map where you're forced into spawning in a transport helicopter and you have to get bots onto the point, or where there's tanks on the point (and no engineer bots on your team) to practice destroying armour with the attack chopper

Questions about the latest map and the new upcoming map. The latest map had the gas and gas mask gimmick and the new map will have a night vision gimmick. Are those gimmicks a permanent thing for the maps? Or will they eventually go away the maps will return to normal? I hope they keep them as permanent fixtures. Why not just leave them there? Would make the maps really unique to play on. Just natural hazards.

Most maps are kinda badly map , your right on that one , literally only thing vehicles that actually want to survive can do most of the time is sit in the backlines , pushing with vehicles in almost all maps is near impossible without basically double engie reps

it's the opposite, allowing mortars to hit into enemy spawn is against offensive use, explicitly, this removes the potential for folks to camp the spawn BT on contaminated at all, it's a strict nerf in for those users

the thing that's easy to miss is the vehicle repair unit is inside the spawn point for contaminated and in order to use it you need to be pretty much next to it more or less, this change opens up keeping vehicles permanently offline at lower health and a vast amount of other util for defense, if they intended to buff offense then this approach does the exact reverse

That's only in general for Primaries. You do get more XP for the first 20 or so Levels on them, while Pistols are going to level a whooping 60% Faster.
I just pick one or two weapons to level at a time and stick to them until I have them at level 40
And then the ones I really enjoy I take to level 50
iirc 2042 was like ~350ish kills to unlock everything
almost every gun has a supressor locked AFTER level 20

Look, I want myself to go for each of my weapons to level 50, but I have no issue with 50 taking long.
It's more annyoing to get some level 15/25/35 for some silencer, stubby or thermal scope
not like 6 has any more, 3 types of grips with MINOR stat varations, its just fluff to pad it out, tons of optics that dont matter outside of personal prerefence clogging up stuff too
The real solution - get rid of 3d spotting for firing without a suppressor or flash hider. Keep 3d spotting for active spotting only
nah u got to read each attachment carefully they are quite different
no they arent, they all give slight benefits to recoil with different trade offs, the same as angled, straight and potato in bf4
it really depends on the gun and then u got like 9 viable options per each gun
The issue is that the lack of Advanced Stats means that you don't know the difference between a lot of the Grips/Muzzle Breaks.

Yeah sometimes a cheaper grip can actually give better recoil control or whatever than a more expensive option
getting to 50 can take time, just give me every attachment faster so i can actually use the gun fully
ok muzzle is just slap on whatever suppressor works best for the gun and call it a day but grips is complex for what build ur going for
this is a major issue and means the only muzzles are flash hider or supressor so every muzzle attachment u get is also a waste
so ur stuck with a flash hider for 25+ levels most of the time
the system is a mess and actively drives people away from the game

the system looks like u have a lot of choice but really its just the best grip you can fit after the optic you want and the biggest mag + supressor you can use

I mean technically its 15% average. Early unlocks are greatly reduced but it is a bit lower as you go up. We still get a decrease but not as much. And I guess instead of describing said curve with a mathematical function they said 15% average.

absent mindedly… i usually rush the enemy side on conquest start and place mines on a flank. first wave vehicle spawns wont hit them, but usually the next waves do as they try to position more creatively. Definitely not absent minded. Just an odd change because it’s pretty much been a core engineer tactic for all of battlefield.

To get level 50 in BF6 is 1,200 kills, attachments stop at 39 so BF6 is actually less than double of BF4 since BF4 was 500 kills for all attachments.
Before this buff to weapon XP, I had all attachments for a weapon and got it to level 50 within 600 to 740 kills.

as a LONG time tanker, i honestly think thermal smoke is generally more useful than APS in BF6

Everything else beyond that was cosmetic alternatives for those attachments, you had everything that mattered in a fraction of the time in bf4. In 6, the mechanical attachments take far far long to aquire
half my kills are with the coax mg so definitely can't do that haha , also can't get 20 ish vehicle kills every game sitting on a hill , good games get around 30-35.
But they don't work against people that use RPGs
And people that use the RPG are generally more competent AT in my experience

Yeah, i think APS has plenty of good uses - i just really dislike not being able to react-counter incoming rockets, and the LONG cooldown for short uptime. Smoke is like 5s shorter cooldown and like 5s longer uptime

With the changes tomorrow, I'll be able to get level 50 easily at 600 kills including gadgets and assists.
I think it will be decent considering you do unlock suppressors earlier on, despite their nerf

I was 7th in the world for the Model 10-A Hunter, it felt how a shotgun should feel.
Get to BF6 and I don't even want to touch any shotgun unless it's the M87 with Slugs.
Shotguns always hard to balance in shooting games though
My only issue with shotguns in bf1 is the range
But other than that, they generally felt really good to use
Escape from Tarkov has some of the best shotguns in terms of both realism and fun
I enjoed the model 1900 or the sjörgen more too, but yeah, they were fun, and it felt balanced between buckshot and slugs

Saiga needs a drum mag, the m10 is fine I guess - the DB12 may aswell be removed from the game.

It's just weird that the DB12 is now less a double barrel, and more your average semi auto
the problem is the way the spread on the pellets is calculated, it cannot be improved

That's also something I find a bit odd, shotguns have no barrel attachment and only suppressors for the muzzle.
Both of these are honestly why buckshot is terrible tbh.
If you want the max annoying takedown, you will have to wait for the upcoming ultra cringe machete

The buckshot breaks the skin and the incendiary effect is like pissing on the open wound that you made, it's painful but relatively not deadly

The knife doesn't do shit when it comes to destroying objects, I only use it for the sprint speed bonus
Plus the defib and repair torch give you the same sprint speed buff when equipped
barely use the knife anymore.
Assault has sprint speed with the stim.
Engineer and Support has sprint speed with repair tool / defi

like, the minimal improvment between handgun / knife isn't worth the utility of tearing down a wall in my eyes
Even destroying deployables is hard with the knife
and technically you are at least not 100% defenseless with the handgun in hand
The amount of times I've walked up to a proxy sensor and the knife just not destroying or registering hits is so fucking ass
melee against other enemies feel terrible tho, because of the ultra long 200ms delay
