Honestly, this game mode could make some maps really great, if not amazing. At least on Breakthrough, Contaminated plays completely differently. You can check the stats with VL7, more people seem to prefer playing different classes there.

Would it be possible to add more variety to the playlists? I, like many others, prefer Breakthrough, so I often have to restart matchmaking several times just to get into Breakthrough instead of Escalation or Conquest.

Yes, but when using Custom Search, Contaminated launches without the VL7 game mode and runs in its regular format. In that setup, the attacking side can barely push forward, and in about 90 percent of the matches the round ends on the first sector.

That is exactly why the VL7 version works better for Breakthrough. It creates better balance and actually allows the match to progress.

Im really looking forward to night ops. When I first got into BF I bashed out BF4 and brought all the DLCs. Night operations were my go to. The fun and nerve-racking experience of going through a building with your squad and getting blasted by some guy with a suppressed smg in the dark was incredible but frightening.

This is different to what I've been getting recently

I was getting DX12 crashes when I had my 3080, but I could 100% reliably avoid these by just reinstalling drivers before each session if I'd turned my PC off since the last play session. Haven't had a single DX12 crash since I upgraded to a 5070Ti.

It doesn't strike much sense to me why resources are allocated to an original gamemode, that fits the new Hagental Base map, only to remove it later. Especially in times where a lot of players feel that content is lacking this seems counterproductive. There's a lot of potential in it, even re-releasing existing maps in night modes and including them in the map rotation.

A lot of these are new versions of older, similar experiences, but sometimes with a twist or new tech behind them. If a mode is particularly popular, it can always come back or be a permanent addition. But we also know that there are a ton of players who want their All Out Warfare playlists and nothing else, so we need to find a balance in that way, too.

It's not good if the enemy has both left and right sides of the map. But that doesn't always happen in conquest and escalation although it did happen a lot on my first day of playing the contaminated map. It's a really good map for flanking once you get a hang of it. The snipers aren't an issue if you know how to countersnipe cos let's face it, most snipers aren't all that great.

The new guns are locked behind battle passes and take forever to get to, unless you use all those xp boosts.

it probably wouldn't work unless they scrapped bf pro as is, currently that exists as an upgrade path for the battle pass, and the games content is structured around seasons, other games which have it inclusive are not, these are very different structures in terms of monetisation/player retention, tldr it is a multi faceted thing and not just one metric but rather it's interlinked with multiple others

the model is a repeat of 2042, and given that model is what saved the game to the point of being able to fund new content, it was probably seen as the safe bet to go with, battlefield 6 is not a title in experimentation, but playing it safe, it seems that it is likely inevitable the model shifts universally to persistent ones though, but definitely not for this title
